319 As a convinced atheist, I ought to agree with Voltaire that Judaism is not just one more religion, but in its way the root of religious evil. Without the stern, joyless rabbis and their 613 dour prohibitions, we might have avoided the whole nightmare of the Old Testament, and the brutal, crude wrenching of that into prophecy - derived Christianity, and the later plagiarism and mutation of Judaism and Christianity into the various rival forms of Islam. Much of the time, I do concur with Voltaire, but not without acknowledging that Judaism is dialectical. There is, after all, a specifically Jewish version of the eighteenth-century Enlightenment, with a specifically Jewish name — the Haskalah — for itself. The term derives from the word for 'mind' or 'intellect,' and it is naturally associated with ethics rather than rituals, life rather than prohibitions, and assimilation over 'exile' or 'return.' It's everlastingly linked to the name of the great German teacher Moses Mendelssohn, one of those conspicuous Jewish hunchbacks who so upset and embarrassed Isaiah Berlin. The other way to upset or embarrass Berlin, I found, was to mention that he himself was a cousin of Menachem Schneerson, the 'messianic' Lubavitcher rebbe. However, even pre-enlightenment Judaism forces its adherents to study and think, it reluctantly teaches them what others think, and it may even teach them how to think also. + 224 Muhammad was a prince; he rallied his compatriots around him. In a few years, the Muslims conquered half of the world. They plucked more souls from false gods, knocked down more idols, razed more pagan temples in fifteen years than the followers of Moses and Jesus did in fifteen centuries. Muhammad was a great man. He would indeed have been a god, if the revolution that he had performed had not been prepared by the circumstances. Napoleon

202 Jerusalem Post in 2001 Berger explained that in the view of some elokists: “The supremely righteous, of whom the Rebbe and Moses are the chief exemplars, annul their own essence to the point where their entire essence is that of God. It is permissible to bow to them with this understanding. For this reason, the Rebbe is omniscient, omnipotent, and entirely without limits. He is ‘indistinguishable’ from God. Because he is a transparent window for pure divinity, a ‘man-God,’ ‘when you speak to him, you speak to God.’"

262 In the book "The Book Which Tells the Truth", Vorilhon stated that he had an alien visitation on 13 December 1973. According to Rael, in a secluded area within a French volcanic crater, an extraterrestrial being came out of a craft that had descended gently from the sky, and told him, in French, that he had come for the sole purpose of meeting with him. Rael said that he was given a message by this alien and told that it was his mission to pass this message on to the people of Earth.

The book states that advanced human scientists from another planet with 25,000 years of scientific advances created all life on Earth through DNA manipulation. These scientists, Rael said, were originally called Elohim or "those who came from the sky". He wrote that some forty prophets in Earth's history were sent by Elohim, but their messages were distorted by humans, largely because of the difference in the level of civilization between the advanced race and Earth's primitive one.

Rael said he was given the mission of informing the world of humanity's origins in anticipation of the return of these extraterrestrials by building a residential embassy in neutral territory. He stated that certain mysteries were explained to him based on new interpretations of sacred texts such as the Bible. He said that, on 7 October 1975, he was contacted by one of the Elohim, who took him to another planet to meet Buddha, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad. He stated that his second book, "Extraterrestrials Took Me To Their Planet", relates the teaching he received from these people. In this book, Rael describes harmonious and peaceable beings, who were free of money, sickness, and war. History of Raelism

229 Moses received the Torah from Sinai and gave it over to Joshua. Joshua gave it over to the Elders, the Elders to the Prophets, and the Prophets gave it over to the Men of the Great Assembly. They [the Men of the Great Assembly] would always say these three things: Be cautious in judgment. Establish many pupils. And make a safety fence around the Torah. Pirkei Avot 1:1

204 Ten things were created at twilight of Shabbat eve. These are: the mouth of the earth [that swallowed Korach]; the mouth of [Miriam's] well; the mouth of [Balaam's] ass; the rainbow; the manna; [Moses'] staff; the shamir; the writing, the inscription and the tablets [of the Ten Commandments]. Some say also the burial place of Moses and the ram of our father Abraham. And some say also the spirits of destruction as well as the original tongs, for tongs are made with tongs. Pirkei Avot 5:6

222 One who causes the community to be meritorious, no sin will come by his hand. One who causes the community to sin, is not given the opportunity to repent. Moses was meritorious and caused the community to be meritorious, so the community's merit is attributed to him; as is stated, "He did God's righteousness, and His laws with Israel" (Deuteronomy 33:21). Jeroboam the son of Nebat sinned and caused the community to sin, so the community's sin is attributed to him; as is stated, "For the sins of Jeroboam, which he sinned and caused Israel to sin" (I Kings 15:30). Pirkei Avot 5:18

205 All questions of right to one side, I have never been able to banish the queasy inner suspicion that Israel just did not look, or feel, either permanent or sustainable. I felt this when sitting in the old Ottoman courtyards of Jerusalem, and I felt it even more when I saw the hideous 'Fort Condo' settlements that had been thrown up around the city in order to give the opposite impression. If the statelet was only based on a narrow strip of the Mediterranean littoral (god having apparently ordered Moses to lead the Jews to one of the very few parts of the region with absolutely no oil at all), that would be bad enough. But in addition, it involved roosting on top of an ever-growing population that did not welcome the newcomers. Christopher Hitchens, Hitch-22: A Memoir

191 The telescope destroyed the firmament, did away with the heaven of the New Testament, rendered the ascension of our Lord and the assumption of his Mother infinitely absurd, crumbled to chaos the gates and palaces of the New Jerusalem, and in their places gave to man a wilderness of worlds. + 69 And Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord with which he had sent him and all the signs that He had commanded him. Shemot 4:28

70 So Moses and Aaron went, and they assembled all the elders of the children of Israel. Shemot 4:29

65 And Aaron spoke all the words that the Lord had spoken to Moses, and he performed the signs before the eyes of the people. Shemot 4:30

64 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Shemot 6:10

75 The Lord said to Moses, Pharaoh's heart is heavy; he has refused to let the people out. Shemot 7:14

72 The Lord said to Moses, Say to Aaron, Take your staff and stretch forth your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their canals, over their ponds, and over all their bodies of water, and they will become blood, and there will be blood throughout the entire land of Egypt, even in wood and in stone. Shemot 7:19

79 Moses and Aaron did so, as the Lord had commanded, and he raised the staff and struck the water that was in the Nile before the eyes of Pharaoh and before the eyes of his servants, and all the water that was in the Nile turned to blood. Shemot 7:20

72 The Lord said to Moses, Come to Pharaoh and say to him, So said the Lord, Let My people go, so that they may serve Me. Shemot 7:26

78 The Lord said to Moses, Say to Aaron, stretch forth your hand with your staff over the rivers, over the canals, and over the ponds, and bring up the frogs on the land of Egypt. Shemot 8:1

83 And Moses said to Pharaoh, Boast of your superiority over me. For when shall I entreat for you, for your servants, and for your people, to destroy the frogs from you and from your houses, that they should remain only in the Nile? Shemot 8:5

79 And Pharaoh said, For tomorrow. And Moses said, As you say, in order that you should know that there is none like the Lord, our God. Shemot 8:6

79 And Moses and Aaron went away from Pharaoh, and Moses cried out to the Lord concerning the frogs that He had brought upon Pharaoh. Shemot 8:8

84 Thereupon, Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron, and he said, "Go, sacrifice to your God in the land." Shemot 8:21

84 But Moses said, It is improper to do that, for we will sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to God our Lord. Will we sacrifice the deity of the Egyptians before their eyes, and they will not stone us? Shemot 8:22

97 Moses said, Behold, I am going away from you, and I will entreat the Lord, and the mixture of noxious creatures will depart from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people tomorrow. Only let Pharaoh not tease anymore, by not letting the people go to sacrifice to the Lord. Shemot 8:25

76 So Moses went away from Pharaoh and entreated the Lord. Shemot 8:26

76 And the Lord did according to Moses' word, and He removed the mixture of noxious creatures from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; not one was left. Shemot 8:27

74 And Moses said to him, When I leave the city, I will spread my hands to the Lord. The thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail, in order that you know that the land is the Lord's. Shemot 9:29

76 Moses went away from Pharaoh, out of the city, and he spread out his hands to the Lord, and the thunder and the hail ceased, and rain did not come down to earth. Shemot 9:33

73 Thereupon, Moses and Aaron were brought back to Pharaoh, and he said to them, Go, worship the Lord your God. Who and who are going? Shemot 10:8

83 Moses said, With our youth and with our elders we will go, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our cattle we will go, for it is a festival of the Lord to us. Shemot 10:9

85 So Moses stretched forth his staff over the land of Egypt, and the Lord led an east wind in the land all that day and all the night. By the time it was morning, the east wind had borne the locusts. Shemot 10:13

77 Pharaoh hastened to summon Moses and Aaron, and he said, I have sinned against the Lord your God and against you. Shemot 10:16

76 The Lord said to Moses, Stretch forth your hand toward the heavens, and there will be darkness over the land of Egypt, and the darkness will become darker. Shemot 10:21

71 So Moses stretched forth his hand toward the heavens, and there was thick darkness over the entire land of Egypt for three days. Shemot 10:22

72 Pharaoh summoned Moses and said, Go! Worship the Lord, but your flocks and your cattle shall be left. Your young children may also go with you. Shemot 10:24

70 But Moses said, You too shall give sacrifices and burnt offerings into our hands, and we will make them for the Lord our God. Shemot 10:25

66 Thereupon, Moses said, You have spoken correctly; I shall no longer see your face. Shemot 10:29

85 The Lord said to Moses, I will bring one more plague upon Pharaoh and upon Egypt; afterwards he will let you go from here. When he lets you out, he will completely drive you out of here. Shemot 11:1

68 So the Lord gave the people favor in the Egyptians' eyes; also the man Moses was highly esteemed in the land of Egypt in the eyes of Pharaoh's servants and in the eyes of the people. Shemot 11:3

67 Moses said, So said the Lord, At the dividing point of the night, I will go out into the midst of Egypt, Shemot 11:4

69 The Lord said to Moses, Pharaoh will not heed you, in order to increase My miracles in the land of Egypt. Shemot 11:9

52 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Shemot 14:1

82 They said to Moses, Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us to die in the desert? What is this that you have done to us to take us out of Egypt? Shemot 14:11

72 Moses said to the people, Don't be afraid! Stand firm and see the Lord's salvation that He will wreak for you today, for the way you have seen the Egyptians is only today, but you shall no longer continue to see them for eternity. Shemot 14:13

63 The Lord said to Moses, Why do you cry out to Me? Speak to the children of Israel and let them travel. Shemot 14:15

61 And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the Lord led the sea with the strong east wind all night, and He made the sea into dry land and the waters split. Shemot 14:21

54 Thereupon, the Lord said to Moses, Stretch out your hand over the sea, and let the water return upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen. Shemot 14:26

76 So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and toward morning the sea returned to its strength, as the Egyptians were fleeing toward it, and the Lord stirred the Egyptians into the sea. Shemot 14:27

63 And Israel saw the great hand, which the Lord had used upon the Egyptians, and the people feared the Lord, and they believed in the Lord and in Moses, His servant. Shemot 14:31

71 Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the Lord, and they spoke, saying, I will sing to the Lord, for very exalted is He; a horse and its rider He cast into the sea. Shemot 15:1

61 The entire community of the children of Israel complained against Moses and against Aaron in the desert. Shemot 16:2

90 So the Lord said to Moses, Behold! I am going to rain down for you bread from heaven, and the people shall go out and gather what is needed for the day, so that I can test them, whether or not they will follow My teaching. Shemot 16:4

61 Thereupon, Moses and Aaron said to all the children of Israel, In the evening, you shall know that the Lord brought you out of the land of Egypt. Shemot 16:6

84 And Moses said, When the Lord gives you in the evening meat to eat and bread in the morning with which to become sated, when the Lord hears your complaints, which you are making the people complain against Him, but of what significance are we? Not against us are your complaints, but against the Lord. Shemot 16:8

65 And Moses said to Aaron, Say to the entire community of the children of Israel, Draw near before the Lord, for He has heard your complaints. Shemot 16:9

53 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, Shemot 16:11

56 When the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, It is manna, because they did not know what it was, and Moses said to them, It is the bread that the Lord has given you to eat. Shemot 16:15

51 And Moses said to them, Let no one leave over any of it until morning. Shemot 16:19

57 But some men did not obey Moses and left over some of it until morning, and it bred worms and became putrid, and Moses became angry with them. Shemot 16:20

67 It came to pass on the sixth day that they gathered a double portion of bread, two omers for each one, and all the princes of the community came and reported it to Moses. Shemot 16:22

55 So they left it over until morning, as Moses had commanded, and it did not become putrid, and not a worm was in it. Shemot 16:24

53 And Moses said, Eat it today, for today is a Sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the field. Shemot 16:25

60 And Moses said to Aaron, Take one jug and put there an omerful of manna, and deposit it before the Lord to be preserved for your generations. Shemot 16:33

65 As the Lord had commanded Moses, Aaron deposited it before the testimony to be preserved. Shemot 16:34

62 So the people quarreled with Moses, and they said, Give us water that we may drink Moses said to them, Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord? Shemot 17:2

93 The people thirsted there for water, and the people complained against Moses, and they said, Why have you brought us up from Egypt to make me and my children and my livestock die of thirst? Shemot 17:3

82 Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, What shall I do for this people? Just a little longer and they will stone me! Shemot 17:4

69 And the Lord said to Moses, Pass before the people and take with you some of the elders of Israel, and take into your hand your staff, with which you struck the Nile, and go. Shemot 17:5

72 Behold, I shall stand there before you on the rock in Horeb, and you shall strike the rock, and water will come out of it, and the people will drink Moses did so before the eyes of the elders of Israel. Shemot 17:6

71 So Moses said to Joshua, Pick men for us, and go out and fight against Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand. Shemot 17:9

76 Joshua did as Moses had told him, to fight against Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur ascended to the top of the hill. Shemot 17:10

71 It came to pass that when Moses would raise his hand, Israel would prevail, and when he would lay down his hand, Amalek would prevail. Shemot 17:11

72 Now Moses hands were heavy; so they took a stone and placed it under him, and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur supported his hands, one from this side, and one from that side; so he was with his hands in faith until sunset. Shemot 17:12

75 The Lord said to Moses, Inscribe this as a memorial in the book, and recite it into Joshua's ears, that I will surely obliterate the remembrance of Amalek from beneath the heavens. Shemot 17:14

55 Then Moses built an altar, and he named it The Lord is my miracle. Shemot 17:15

70 Now Moses' father in law, Jethro, the chieftain of Midian, heard all that God had done for Moses and for Israel, His people that the Lord had taken Israel out of Egypt. Shemot 18:1

61 So Moses' father in law, Jethro, took Zipporah, Moses' wife, after she had been sent away, Shemot 18:2

76 And one who was named Eliezer, because Moses said, "The God of my father came to my aid and rescued me from Pharaoh's sword." Shemot 18:4

70 Now Moses father in law, Jethro, and his Moses sons and his wife came to Moses, to the desert where he was encamped, to the mountain of God. Shemot 18:5

65 And he said to Moses, I, Jethro, your father in law, am coming to you, and so is your wife and her two sons with her. Shemot 18:6

72 So Moses went out toward Jethro, prostrated himself and kissed him, and they greeted one another, and they entered the tent. Shemot 18:7

60 Moses told his father in law about all that the Lord had done to Pharaoh and to the Egyptians on account of Israel, and about all the hardships that had befallen them on the way, and that the Lord had saved them. Shemot 18:8

74 Then Moses father in law, Jethro, sacrificed burnt offerings and peace offerings to God, and Aaron and all the elders of Israel came to dine with Moses father in law before God. Shemot 18:12

66 It came about on the next day that Moses sat down to judge the people, and the people stood before Moses from the morning until the evening. Shemot 18:13

62 When Moses father in law saw what he was doing to the people, he said, What is this thing that you are doing to the people? Why do you sit by yourself, while all the people stand before you from morning till evening? Shemot 18:14

71 Moses said to his father in law, For the people come to me to seek God. Shemot 18:15

59 Moses father in law said to him, The thing you are doing is not good. Shemot 18:17

53 Moses obeyed his father in law, and he did all that he said. Shemot 18:24

58 Moses chose men of substance out of all Israel and appointed them as heads of the people, leaders of thousands, leaders of hundreds, leaders of fifties, and leaders of tens. Shemot 18:25

61 And they would judge the people at all times; the difficult case they would bring to Moses, but any minor case they themselves would judge. Shemot 18:26

58 Moses saw his father in law off, and he went away to his land. Shemot 18:27

65 Moses ascended to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain, saying, So shall you say to the house of Jacob and tell the sons of Israel, Shemot 19:3

63 Moses came and summoned the elders of Israel and placed before them all these words that the Lord had commanded him. Shemot 19:7

75 And all the people replied in unison and said, All that the Lord has spoken we shall do! and Moses took the words of the people back to the Lord. Shemot 19:8

66 And the Lord said to Moses, Behold, I am coming to you in the thickness of the cloud, in order that the people hear when I speak to you, and they will also believe in you forever. And Moses relayed the words of the people to the Lord. Shemot 19:9

61 And the Lord said to Moses, Go to the people and prepare them today and tomorrow, and they shall wash their garments. Shemot 19:10

64 So Moses descended from the mountain to the people, and he prepared the people, and they washed their garments. Shemot 19:14

58 Moses brought the people out toward God from the camp, and they stood at the bottom of the mountain. Shemot 19:17

56 The sound of the shofar grew increasingly stronger; Moses would speak and God would answer him with a voice. Shemot 19:19

54 The Lord descended upon Mount Sinai, to the peak of the mountain, and the Lord summoned Moses to the peak of the mountain, and Moses ascended. Shemot 19:20

63 The Lord said to Moses, Go down, warn the people lest they break their formation to go nearer to the Lord, and many of them will fall. Shemot 19:21

68 And Moses said to the Lord, The people cannot ascend to Mount Sinai, for You warned us saying, Set boundaries for the mountain and sanctify it. Shemot 19:23

55 So Moses went down to the people and said this to them. Shemot 19:25

65 They said to Moses, You speak with us, and we will hear, but let God not speak with us lest we die. Shemot 20:16

82 But Moses said to the people, Fear not, for God has come in order to exalt you, and in order that His awe shall be upon your faces, so that you shall not sin. Shemot 20:17

59 The people remained far off, but Moses drew near to the opaque darkness, where God was. Shemot 20:18

90 The Lord said to Moses, So shall you say to the children of Israel, You have seen that from the heavens I have spoken with you. Shemot 20:19

68 And to Moses He said, Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and prostrate yourselves from afar. Shemot 24:1

53 And Moses alone shall approach the Lord but they shall not approach, and the people shall not ascend with him." Shemot 24:2

66 So Moses came and told the people all the words of the Lord and all the ordinances, and all the people answered in unison and said, "All the words that the Lord has spoken we will do." Shemot 24:3

55 And Moses wrote all the words of the Lord, and he arose early in the morning and built an altar at the foot of the mountain and twelve monuments for the twelve tribes of Israel. Shemot 24:4

60 And Moses took half the blood and put it into the basins, and half the blood he cast onto the altar. Shemot 24:6

72 And Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and he said, "Behold the blood of the covenant, which the Lord has formed with you concerning these words." Shemot 24:8

58 And Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel ascended, Shemot 24:9

74 And the Lord said to Moses, Come up to Me to the mountain and remain there, and I will give you the stone tablets, the Law and the commandments, which I have written to instruct them. Shemot 24:12

58 So Moses and Joshua, his servant, arose, and Moses ascended to the mount of God. Shemot 24:13

62 And Moses went up to the mountain, and the cloud covered the mountain. Shemot 24:15

63 And the glory of the Lord rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days, and He called to Moses on the seventh day from within the cloud. Shemot 24:16

56 And Moses came within the cloud, and he went up to the mountain, and Moses was upon the mountain forty days and forty nights. Shemot 24:18

60 The Lord spoke to Moses saying: Shemot 25:1

49 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Shemot 30:11

47 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Shemot 30:17

44 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Shemot 30:22

61 And the Lord said to Moses: Take for yourself aromatics, namely balsam sap, onycha and galbanum, aromatics and pure frankincense; they shall be of equal weight. Shemot 30:34

52 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Shemot 31:1

43 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Shemot 31:12

45 When He had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of the testimony, stone tablets, written with the finger of God. Shemot 31:18

84 When the people saw that Moses was late in coming down from the mountain, the people gathered against Aaron, and they said to him: Come on! Make us gods that will go before us, because this man Moses, who brought us up from the land of Egypt we don't know what has become of him. Shemot 32:1

67 And the Lord said to Moses: Go, descend, for your people that you have brought up from the land of Egypt have acted corruptly. Shemot 32:7

61 And the Lord said to Moses: I have seen this people and behold! they are a stiff necked people. Shemot 32:9

87 Moses pleaded before the Lord, his God, and said: Why, O Lord, should Your anger be kindled against Your people whom You have brought up from the land of Egypt with great power and with a strong hand? Shemot 32:11

79 Now Moses turned and went down from the mountain bearing the two tablets of the testimony in his hand, tablets inscribed from both their sides; on one side and on the other side they were inscribed. Shemot 32:15

51 When Joshua heard the voice of the people in their shouting, he said to Moses: There is a voice of battle in the camp! Shemot 32:17

59 But Moses said: It is neither a voice shouting victory, nor a voice shouting defeat; a voice of blasphemy I hear. Shemot 32:18

65 Now it came to pass when he drew closer to the camp and saw the calf and the dances, that Moses anger was kindled, and he flung the tablets from his hands, shattering them at the foot of the mountain. Shemot 32:19

53 Moses said to Aaron: What did this people do to you that you brought such a grave sin upon them? Shemot 32:21

59 They said to me, Make us gods who will go before us, because this man Moses, who brought us up from the land of Egypt we do not know what has become of him. Shemot 32:23

44 And Moses saw the people, that they were exposed, for Aaron had exposed them to be disgraced before their adversaries. Shemot 32:25

65 So Moses stood in the gate of the camp and said: Whoever is for the Lord, let him come to me! And all the sons of Levi gathered around him. Shemot 32:26

55 The sons of Levi did according to Moses word; on that day some three thousand men fell from among the people. Shemot 32:28

61 And Moses said: Initiate yourselves today for the Lord for each man with his son and with his brother so that He may bestow a blessing upon you this day. Shemot 32:29

56 It came to pass on the next day that Moses said to the people: You have committed a grave sin. And now I will go up to the Lord; perhaps I will obtain atonement for your sin. Shemot 32:30

72 And Moses returned to the Lord and said: Please! This people has committed a grave sin. They have made themselves a god of gold. Shemot 32:31

48 And the Lord said to Moses: Whoever has sinned against Me, him I will erase from My book! Shemot 32:33

65 The Lord spoke to Moses: Go, ascend from here, you and the people you have brought up from the land of Egypt, to the land that I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying: I will give it to your descendants. Shemot 33:1

78 And the Lord said to Moses: Say to the children of Israel: 'You are a stiff necked people; if I go up into your midst for one moment, I will destroy you; but now, leave off your finery, and I will know what to do to you. Shemot 33:5

49 And Moses took the tent and pitched it for himself outside the camp, distancing it from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting, and it would be that anyone seeking the Lord would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp. Shemot 33:7

40 And it would be that when Moses would go out to the tent, all the people would rise and stand, each one at the entrance of his tent, and they would gaze after Moses until he went into the tent. Shemot 33:8

41 And it would be that when Moses entered the tent, the pillar of cloud would descend and stand at the entrance of the tent, and He would speak with Moses. Shemot 33:9

58 Then the Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as a man would speak to his companion, and he would return to the camp, but his attendant, Joshua, the son of Nun, a lad, would not depart from the tent. Shemot 33:11

61 Moses said to the Lord: Look, You say to me: Bring this people up! But You have not informed me whom You will send with me. And You said: I have known you by name and you have also found favor in My eyes. Shemot 33:12

57 And the Lord said to Moses: Even this thing that you have spoken, I will do, for you have found favor in My eyes, and I have known you by name. Shemot 33:17

54 And the Lord said to Moses: Hew for yourself two stone tablets like the first ones. And I will inscribe upon the tablets the words that were on the first tablets, which you broke. Shemot 34:1

51 So Moses hewed two stone tablets like the first ones, and Moses arose early in the morning and ascended Mount Sinai as the Lord had commanded him, and he took two stone tablets in his hand. Shemot 34:4

41 And Moses hastened, bowed his head to the ground and prostrated himself, Shemot 34:8

57 The Lord said to Moses: Inscribe these words for yourself, for according to these words I have formed a covenant with you and with Israel. Shemot 34:27

48 And it came to pass when Moses descended from Mount Sinai, and the two tablets of the testimony were in Moses' hand when he descended from the mountain and Moses did not know that the skin of his face had become radiant while He had spoken with him. Shemot 34:29

55 That Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses and behold! the skin of his face had become radiant, and they were afraid to come near him. Shemot 34:30

49 But Moses called to them, and Aaron and all the princes of the community returned to him, and Moses would speak to them. Shemot 34:31

52 When Moses had finished speaking with them, he placed a covering over his face. Shemot 34:33

58 When Moses would come before the Lord to speak with Him, he would remove the covering until he left; then he would leave and speak to the children of Israel what he would be commanded. Shemot 34:34

59 Then the children of Israel would see Moses face, that the skin of Moses face had become radiant, and then Moses would replace the covering over his face until he would come again to speak with Him. Shemot 34:35

56 Moses called the whole community of the children of Israel to assemble, and he said to them: These are the things that the Lord commanded to make. Shemot 35:1

44 And Moses spoke to the entire community of the children of Israel, saying: This is the word that the Lord has commanded to say: Shemot 35:4

43 The entire community departed from before Moses. Shemot 35:20

62 And Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every wise hearted man into whose heart the Lord had given wisdom, everyone whose heart lifted him up to approach the work to do it. Shemot 36:2

51 So they took from before Moses all the offerings that the children of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the Holy, and they brought him more gifts every morning. Shemot 36:3

46 And they spoke to Moses, saying: The people are bringing very much, more than is enough for the labor of the articles which the Lord had commanded to do. Shemot 36:5

47 So Moses commanded, and they announced in the camp, saying: Let no man or woman do any more work for the offering for the Holy. So the people stopped bringing. Shemot 36:6

55 These are the numbers of the Mishkan, the Mishkan of the Testimony, which were counted at Moses' command; this was the work of the Levites under the direction of Ithamar, the son of Aaron the Kohen. Shemot 38:21

38 Bezalel, son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, had made all that the Lord had commanded Moses. Shemot 38:22

43 And out of the blue, purple, and crimson wool they made the meshwork garments to serve in the Holy, and they made Aaron's holy garments, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Shemot 39:1

50 And its decorative band, which is above it, emanated from it, of the same work: gold, blue, purple, and crimson wool, and twisted fine linen as the Lord had commanded Moses. Shemot 39:5

48 And he put them upon the shoulder straps of the ephod as stones of remembrance for the sons of Israel, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Shemot 39:7

39 And they fastened the choshen by its rings to the rings of the ephod with a cord of blue wool, so that it could be upon the band of the ephod, so that the choshen would not move off the ephod, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Shemot 39:21

43 A bell and a pomegranate, a bell and a pomegranate, all around on the bottom hem of the robe, to serve as the Lord had commanded Moses. Shemot 39:26

42 And the sash of twisted fine linen, and blue, purple, and crimson wool, of embroidery work as the Lord had commanded Moses. Shemot 39:29

46 And they placed upon it a cord of blue wool to place over the cap, from above as the Lord had commanded Moses. Shemot 39:31

50 All the work of the Mishkan of the Tent of Meeting was completed; the children of Israel had done it; according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses, so they had done. Shemot 39:32

44 Now they brought the Mishkan to Moses, the tent and all its furnishings its clasps, its planks, its bars, its pillars and its sockets, Shemot 39:33

52 In accordance with all that the Lord had commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel do all the work. Shemot 39:42

44 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Shemot 40:1

45 When they entered the Tent of Meeting and when they approached the altar they would wash as the Lord had commanded Moses. Shemot 40:32

52 He set up the courtyard all around the Mishkan and the altar, and he put up the screen at the entrance to the courtyard; and Moses completed the work. Shemot 40:33
