48 Speak to the children of Israel and say to them: Should any man's wife go astray and deal treacherously with him, Bamidbar 5:12

78 And a man lie with her carnally, but it was hidden from her husband's eyes, but she was secluded with the suspected adulterer and there was no witness against her, and she was not seized. Bamidbar 5:13

44 But a spirit of jealousy had come upon him and he became jealous of his wife, and she was defiled, or, a spirit of jealousy had come upon him and he was jealous of his wife, and she was not defiled. Bamidbar 5:14

49 Then the man shall bring his wife to the kohen and bring her offering for her, one tenth of an ephah of barley flour. He shall neither pour oil over it nor put frankincense on it, for it is a meal offering of jealousies, a meal offering of remembrance, recalling iniquity. Bamidbar 5:15

41 The kohen shall bring her forth and present her before the Lord. Bamidbar 5:16

31 The kohen shall take holy water in an earthen vessel, and some earth from the Mishkan floor, the kohen shall take and put it into the water. Bamidbar 5:17

40 Then the kohen shall stand the woman up before the Lord and expose the hair on the head of the woman; he shall place into her hands the remembrance meal offering, which is a meal offering of jealousies, while the bitter curse bearing waters are in the kohen's hand. Bamidbar 5:18

54 The kohen shall then place her under oath, and say to the woman, If no man has lain with you and you have not gone astray to become defiled to another in place of your husband, then you will be absolved through these bitter waters which cause the curse. Bamidbar 5:19

40 But as for you, if you have gone astray to another instead of your husband and have become defiled, and another man besides your husband has lain with you... Bamidbar 5:20

55 The kohen shall now adjure the woman with the oath of the curse, and the kohen shall say to the woman, May the Lord make you for a curse and an oath among your people, when the Lord causes your thigh to rupture and your belly to swell. Bamidbar 5:21

30 For these curse bearing waters shall enter your innards, causing the belly to swell and the thigh to rupture, and the woman shall say, "Amen, amen." Bamidbar 5:22

37 Then the kohen shall write these curses on a scroll and erase it in the bitter water. Bamidbar 5:23

34 He shall then give the bitter, curse bearing waters to the woman to drink, and the curse bearing waters shall enter her to become bitter. Bamidbar 5:24

44 The kohen shall take the meal offering of jealousies from the woman's hand, wave the meal offering before the Lord, and bring it to the altar. Bamidbar 5:25

42 The kohen shall scoop out from the meal offering its reminder and burn it upon the altar, and then he shall give the woman the water to drink. Bamidbar 5:26

51 He shall make her drink the water, and it shall be that, if she had been defiled and was unfaithful to her husband, the curse bearing waters shall enter her to become bitter, and her belly will swell, and her thigh will rupture. The woman will be a curse among her people. Bamidbar 5:27

39 But if the woman had not become defiled and she is clean, she shall be exempted and bear seed. Bamidbar 5:28

35 This is the law of jealousies when a woman goes astray to someone other than her husband and is defiled, Bamidbar 5:29

40 Or if a spirit of jealousy comes over a man, and he is jealous of his wife, and he presents the woman before the Lord, and the kohen shall do to her all of this law, Bamidbar 5:30

39 The man shall be absolved of iniquity, and the woman shall bear her iniquity. Bamidbar 5:31

31 The Lord spoke to Moses saying: Bamidbar 6:1

45 Speak to the children of Israel, and you shall say to them: A man or woman who sets himself apart by making a nazirite vow to abstain for the sake of the Lord. Bamidbar 6:2

42 He shall abstain from new wine and aged wine; he shall not drink even vinegar made from new wine or aged wine, nor shall he drink anything in which grapes have been steeped, and he shall eat neither fresh grapes nor dried ones. Bamidbar 6:3

34 For the entire duration of his abstinence, he shall not eat any product of the grape vine, from seeds to skins. Bamidbar 6:4

76 All the days of his vow of abstinence, no razor shall pass over his head; until the completion of the term that he abstains for the sake of the Lord, it shall be sacred, and he shall allow the growth of the hair of his head to grow wild. Bamidbar 6:5

45 All the days that he abstains for The Lord, he shall not come into contact with the dead. Bamidbar 6:6

41 To his father, to his mother, to his brother, or to his sister, he shall not defile himself if they die, for the crown of his God is upon his head. Bamidbar 6:7

33 For the entire duration of his abstinence, he is holy to the Lord. Bamidbar 6:8

46 If someone in his presence dies unexpectedly or suddenly, and causes the nazirite head to become defiled, he shall shave off the hair of his head on the day of his purification; on the seventh day, he shall shave it off. Bamidbar 6:9

37 And on the eighth day, he shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the kohen, at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Bamidbar 6:10

73 The kohen shall prepare one for a sin offering and one for a burnt offering and atone on his behalf for sinning by coming into contact with the dead, and he shall sanctify his head on that day. Bamidbar 6:11

55 He shall consecrate to the Lord the period of his abstinence and bring a lamb in its first year as a guilt offering; the previous days shall be canceled because his naziriteship has been defiled. Bamidbar 6:12

39 This is the law of the nazirite: On the day his period of naziriteship is completed, he shall present himself at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Bamidbar 6:13

38 He shall bring his offering to the Lord: one unblemished lamb in its first year as a burnt offering, one unblemished ewe lamb in its first year as a sin offering, and one unblemished ram as a peace offering, Bamidbar 6:14

44 And a basket of unleavened cakes; loaves of fine flour mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, with their meal offerings and their libations. Bamidbar 6:15

34 The kohen shall present it before the Lord, and perform the service of his sin offering and his burnt offering. Bamidbar 6:16

38 He shall make the ram as a peace offering to the Lord, along with the basket of unleavened cakes, and the kohen shall perform the service of its meal offering with its libation. Bamidbar 6:17

40 The nazirite shall shave the head of his naziriteship at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, and he shall take the hair of the head of his naziriteship and place it upon the fire which is under the peace offering. Bamidbar 6:18

47 The kohen shall then take the cooked foreleg of the ram, one unleavened loaf from the basket and one unleavened wafer, place them in the hands of the nazirite after he has shaven off his nazirite head. Bamidbar 6:19

51 The kohen shall wave them as a waving before the Lord; it is consecrated to the kohen, along with the breast of the waving and the thigh of the uplifting. After this, the nazirite may drink wine. Bamidbar 6:20

46 This is the law of a nazirite who makes a vow: his offering to the Lord for his naziriteship is in addition to what is within his means. According to the vow that he vows, so shall he do, in addition to the law of his naziriteship. Bamidbar 6:21

44 The Lord spoke to Moses saying: Bamidbar 6:22

36 Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying: This is how you shall bless the children of Israel, saying to them: Bamidbar 6:23

46 May the Lord bless you and watch over you. Bamidbar 6:24

39 May the Lord cause His countenance to shine to you and favor you. Bamidbar 6:25

33 May the Lord raise His countenance toward you and grant you peace. Bamidbar 6:26

45 They shall bestow My Name upon the children of Israel, so that I will bless them. Bamidbar 6:27

49 And it was that on the day that Moses finished erecting the Mishkan, he anointed it, sanctified it, and all its vessels, and the altar and all its vessels, and he anointed them and sanctified them. Bamidbar 7:1

59 The chieftains of Israel, the heads of their fathers' houses, presented their offerings. They were the leaders of the tribes. They were the ones who were present during the counting, Bamidbar 7:2

50 They brought their offering before the Lord: six covered wagons and twelve oxen, a wagon for each two chieftains, and an ox for each one; they presented them in front of the Mishkan. Bamidbar 7:3

43 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Bamidbar 7:4

46 Take it from them, and let them be used in the service of the Tent of Meeting. You shall give them to the Levites, in accordance with each man's work. Bamidbar 7:5

42 So Moses took the wagons and the cattle and gave them to the Levites. Bamidbar 7:6

45 He gave two wagons and four oxen to the sons of Gershon, according to their work. Bamidbar 7:7

52 And he gave four wagons and eight oxen to the sons of Merari, according to their work under the direction of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. Bamidbar 7:8

45 The chieftains brought offerings for the dedication of the altar on the day it was anointed; the chieftains presented their offerings in front of the altar. Bamidbar 7:10

41 The Lord spoke to Moses saying: Bamidbar 8:5

31 Take the Levites from among the children of Israel and cleanse them. Bamidbar 8:6

41 This is what you shall do to them so as to cleanse them: sprinkle them with cleansing water and pass a razor over all their flesh; then they shall wash their garments and cleanse themselves. Bamidbar 8:7

35 Then they shall take a young bull with its meal offering of fine flour mingled with oil. And you shall take a second young bull as a sin offering. Bamidbar 8:8

36 You shall bring the Levites in front of the Tent of Meeting, and you shall gather the entire congregation of the children of Israel. Bamidbar 8:9

33 You shall bring the Levites before the Lord, and the children of Israel shall lay their hands upon the Levites. Bamidbar 8:10

45 Then Aaron shall lift up the Levites as a waving before the Lord on behalf of the children of Israel, that they may serve in the Lord's service. Bamidbar 8:11

44 The Levites shall lay their hands on the heads of the bulls, and make one as a sin offering and one as a burnt offering to the Lord, to atone for the Levites. Bamidbar 8:12

29 You shall present the Levites before Aaron and his sons, and lift them as a waving before the Lord. Bamidbar 8:13

36 Thus shall you set apart the Levites from the midst of the children of Israel, and the Levites shall become Mine. Bamidbar 8:14

38 Following this, the Levites shall come to serve in the Tent of Meeting. You shall cleanse them and lift them as a waving. Bamidbar 8:15

52 For they are wholly given over to Me from among the children of Israel; instead of those that open the womb all the firstborn of Israel I have taken them for Myself. Bamidbar 8:16

41 For all the firstborn among the children of Israel are Mine whether man or beast since the day I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt; I have sanctified them for Myself. Bamidbar 8:17

31 And I have taken the Levites instead of all the firstborn of the children of Israel. Bamidbar 8:18

44 I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and his sons from among the children of Israel, to perform the service for the children of Israel in the Tent of Meeting and to atone on behalf of the children of Israel, so that the children of Israel will not be inflicted with plague when they approach the Sanctuary. Bamidbar 8:19

39 So Moses, Aaron, and the entire congregation of Israel did this to the Levites; the children of Israel did in accordance with all that the Lord had instructed Moses regarding the Levites. Bamidbar 8:20

42 The Levites cleansed themselves and washed their clothes. Then Aaron lifted them as a waving before the Lord, and Aaron atoned for them to cleanse them. Bamidbar 8:21

42 After that, the Levites came to perform the service in the Tent of Meeting before Aaron and before his sons; they did to them just as the Lord had commanded Moses regarding the Levites. Bamidbar 8:22

30 The Lord spoke to Moses saying: Bamidbar 8:23

53 This is the rule concerning the Levites: From the age of twenty five years and upwards, he shall enter the service to work in the Tent of Meeting. Bamidbar 8:24

28 From the age of fifty he shall retire from the work legion, and do no more work. Bamidbar 8:25

43 He shall minister with his brethren in the Tent of Meeting to keep the charge, but he shall not perform the service; thus shall you do for the Levites regarding their charge. Bamidbar 8:26

27 The Lord spoke to Moses in the Sinai Desert, in the second year of their exodus from the land of Egypt, in the first month, saying: Bamidbar 9:1

42 The children of Israel shall make the Passover sacrifice in its appointed time. Bamidbar 9:2

42 On the afternoon of the fourteenth of this month, you shall make it in its appointed time; in accordance with all its statutes and all its ordinances you shall make it. Bamidbar 9:3

31 Moses spoke to the children of Israel instructing them to make the Passover sacrifice. Bamidbar 9:4

52 So they made the Passover sacrifice in the first month, on the afternoon fourteenth day of the month in the Sinai Desert; according to all that the Lord had commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel do. Bamidbar 9:5

45 There were men who were ritually unclean [because of contact with] a dead person, and therefore could not make the Passover sacrifice on that day. So they approached Moses and Aaron on that day. Bamidbar 9:6

47 Those men said to him, "We are ritually unclean because of contact with a dead person; but why should we be excluded so as not to bring the offering of the Lord in its appointed time, with all the children of Israel? Bamidbar 9:7

42 Moses said to them, "Wait, and I will hear what the Lord instructs concerning you." Bamidbar 9:8

38 The Lord spoke to Moses saying: Bamidbar 9:9

44 Speak to the children of Israel saying, Any person who becomes unclean from contact with the dead, or is on a distant journey, whether among you or in future generations, he shall make a Passover sacrifice for the Lord. Bamidbar 9:10

40 In the second month, on the fourteenth day, in the afternoon, they shall make it; they shall eat it with unleavened cakes and bitter herbs. Bamidbar 9:11

42 They shall not leave over anything from it until the next morning, and they shall not break any of its bones. They shall make it in accordance with all the statutes connected with the Passover sacrifice. Bamidbar 9:12

45 But the man who was ritually clean and was not on a journey, yet refrained from making the Passover sacrifice, his soul shall be cut off from his people, for he did not bring the offering of the Lord in its appointed time; that person shall bear his sin. Bamidbar 9:13

62 If a proselyte dwells with you, and he makes a Passover sacrifice to the Lord, according to the statutes of the Passover sacrifice and its ordinances he shall make it. One statute shall apply to you, to the proselyte and to the native-born citizen. Bamidbar 9:14

64 On the day the Mishkan was erected, the cloud covered the Mishkan, which was a tent for the Testimony, and at evening, there was over the Mishkan like an appearance of fire, which remained until morning. Bamidbar 9:15

37 So it was always, the cloud covered it and there was an appearance of fire at night. Bamidbar 9:16

57 And according to the cloud's departure from over the Tent, and afterwards, the children of Israel would travel, and in the place where the cloud settled, there the children of Israel would encamp. Bamidbar 9:17

38 At the bidding of the Lord, the children of Israel traveled, and at the bidding of the Lord, they encamped. As long as the cloud hovered above the Mishkan, they encamped. Bamidbar 9:18

34 When the cloud lingered over the Mishkan for many days, the children of Israel kept the charge of the Lord and did not travel. Bamidbar 9:19

37 Sometimes, the cloud remained for several days above the Mishkan; at the Lord's bidding they traveled and at the Lord's bidding they encamped. Bamidbar 9:20

33 Sometimes the cloud remained from evening until morning, and when the cloud departed in the morning, they traveled. Or, the cloud remained for a day and a night, and when the cloud departed, they traveled. Bamidbar 9:21

37 Whether it was for two days, a month or a year, that the cloud lingered to hover over the Mishkan, the children of Israel would encamp and not travel, and when it departed, they traveled. Bamidbar 9:22

25 At the Lord's bidding they would encamp, and at the Lord's bidding they would travel; they kept the charge of the Lord by the word of the Lord through Moses. Bamidbar 9:23

34 The Lord spoke to Moses saying: Bamidbar 10:1

43 Make yourself two silver trumpets; you shall make them from a beaten form; they shall be used by you to summon the congregation and to announce the departure of the camps. Bamidbar 10:2

30 When they blow on them, the entire congregation shall assemble to you, at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Bamidbar 10:3

33 If they blow one of them, the princes, the leaders of Israel's thousands, shall convene to you. Bamidbar 10:4

35 When you blow a teruah [a series of short blasts, the camps which are encamped to the east shall travel. Bamidbar 10:5

33 When you blow a second teruah, the camps encamped to the south shall travel; they shall blow a teruah for traveling. Bamidbar 10:6

35 But when assembling the congregation, you shall blow a tekiah [long blast] but not a teruah. Bamidbar 10:7

28 The descendants of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; this shall be an eternal statute for your generations. Bamidbar 10:8

47 If you go to war in your land against an adversary that oppresses you, you shall blow a teruah with the trumpets and be remembered before the Lord your God, and thus be saved from your enemies. Bamidbar 10:9

35 On the days of your rejoicing, on your festivals and on your new-moon celebrations, you shall blow on the trumpets for your ascent-offerings and your peace sacrifices, and it shall be a remembrance before your God; I am the Lord your God. Bamidbar 10:10

33 On the twentieth of the second month in the second year, the cloud rose up from over the Tabernacle of the Testimony. Bamidbar 10:11

33 The children of Israel traveled on their journeys from the Sinai desert, and the cloud settled in the desert of Paran. Bamidbar 10:12

28 This was the first journey at God's bidding through Moses. Bamidbar 10:13

41 The banner of the camp of Judah's children traveled first according to their legions. Heading the legion was Nahshon the son of Amminadab. Bamidbar 10:14

37 Heading the legion of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar. Bamidbar 10:15

35 Heading the legion of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon. Bamidbar 10:16

39 The Tabernacle was dismantled, and the sons of Gershon set out, [together] with the sons of Merari who carried the Tabernacle. Bamidbar 10:17

38 Then the banner of the camp of Reuben set out according to their legions. Heading its legion was Elitzur the son of Shdeur. Bamidbar 10:18

40 Heading the legion of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai. Bamidbar 10:19

33 Heading the legion of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Reuel. Bamidbar 10:20

31 The Kohathithes, who carried the holy equipment set out, and they had erected the Tabernacle before they had arrived. Bamidbar 10:21

32 Then the banner of the camp of Ephraim set out, according to its legions. Heading its legion was Elishama the son of Amihud. Bamidbar 10:22

35 Heading the legion of the tribe of the children of Menasseh was Gamliel the son of Pedahzur. Bamidbar 10:23

39 Heading the legion of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gidoni. Bamidbar 10:24

35 Then the banner of the camp of Dan set out, the collector for all the other camps, according to its legions. Heading its legion was Achiezer the son of Amishaddai. Bamidbar 10:25

37 Heading the legion of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ocran. Bamidbar 10:26

29 Heading the legion of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enon. Bamidbar 10:27

32 These are the travels of the children of Israel according to their legions, and then they traveled. Bamidbar 10:28

37 Then Moses said to Hobab the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses's father-in-law, We are traveling to the place about which the Lord said, I will give it to you. Come with us and we will be good to you, for the Lord has spoken of good fortune for Israel. Bamidbar 10:29

36 He said to him, I won't go, for I will go to my land and my birthplace. Bamidbar 10:30

42 He said, Please don't leave us, for because you are familiar with our encampments in the desert and you will be our guide. Bamidbar 10:31

25 And if you go with us, then we will bestow on you the good which God grants us. Bamidbar 10:32

32 They traveled a distance of three days from the mountain of the Lord, and the Ark of the Lord's covenant traveled three days ahead of them to seek for them a place to settle. Bamidbar 10:33

26 The cloud of the Lord was above them by day, when they traveled from the camp. Bamidbar 10:34

37 So it was, whenever the ark set out, Moses would say, Arise, O Lord, may Your enemies be scattered and may those who hate You flee from You. Bamidbar 10:35

26 And when it came to rest he would say, Repose O Lord, among the myriads of thousands of Israel. Bamidbar 10:36

36 The people were looking to complain, and it was evil in the ears of the Lord. The Lord heard and His anger flared, and a fire from the Lord burned among them, consuming the extremes of the camp. Bamidbar 11:1

34 The people cried out to Moses; Moses prayed to the Lord, and the fire died down. Bamidbar 11:2

28 He named that place Tab'erah, for the fire of the Lord had burned among them there. Bamidbar 11:3

46 But the multitude among them began to have strong cravings. Then even the children of Israel once again began to cry, and they said, "Who will feed us meat? Bamidbar 11:4

40 We remember the fish that we ate in Egypt free of charge, the cucumbers, the watermelons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic. Bamidbar 11:5

41 But now, our bodies are dried out, for there is nothing at all; we have nothing but manna to look at. Bamidbar 11:6

28 Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its appearance was like the appearance of crystal. Bamidbar 11:7

54 The people walked about and gathered it. Then they ground it in a mill or crushed it in a mortar, cooked it in a pot and made it into cakes. It had a taste like the taste of oil cake. Bamidbar 11:8

30 When the dew descended on the camp at night, the manna would descend upon it. Bamidbar 11:9

47 Moses heard the people weeping with their families, each one at the entrance to his tent. The Lord became very angry, and Moses considered it evil. Bamidbar 11:10

40 Moses said to the Lord, "Why have You treated Your servant so badly? Why have I not found favor in Your eyes that You place the burden of this entire people upon me? Bamidbar 11:11

37 Did I conceive this entire people? Did I give birth to them, that You say to me, Carry them in your bosom as the nurse carries the suckling, to the Land You promised their forefathers? Bamidbar 11:12

32 Where can I get meat to give all these people? For they are crying on me, saying, Give us meat to eat. Bamidbar 11:12

35 Alone I cannot carry this entire people for it is too hard for me. Bamidbar 11:13

34 Alone I cannot carry this entire people for it is too hard for me. Bamidbar 11:14

47 If this is the way You treat me, please kill me if I have found favor in Your eyes, so that I not see my misfortune. Bamidbar 11:15

44 Then the Lord said to Moses, Assemble for Me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the people's elders and officers, and you shall take them to the Tent of Meeting, and they shall stand there with You. Bamidbar 11:16

40 I will come down and speak with you there, and I will increase the spirit that is upon you and bestow it upon them. Then they will bear the burden of the people with you so that you need not bear it alone. Bamidbar 11:17

42 And to the people, you shall say, Prepare yourselves for tomorrow and you shall eat meat, because you have cried in the ears of the Lord saying, Who will feed us meat, for we had it better in Egypt. Therefore, the Lord will give you meat, and you shall eat. Bamidbar 11:18

31 You shall eat it not one day, not two days, not five days, not ten days, and not twenty days. Bamidbar 11:19

56 But even for a full month until it comes out your nose and nauseates you. Because you have despised the Lord Who is among you, and you cried before Him, saying, Why did we ever leave Egypt? Bamidbar 11:20

45 Moses said, Six hundred thousand people on foot are the people in whose midst I am, and You say, I will give them meat, and they will eat it for a full month? Bamidbar 11:21

37 If sheep and cattle were slaughtered for them, would it suffice for them? If all the fish of the sea were gathered for them, would it suffice for them? Bamidbar 11:22

39 Then the Lord said to Moses, Is My power limited? Now you will see if My word comes true for you or not! Bamidbar 11:23

33 Moses went out and told the people what the Lord had said, and he assembled seventy men of the elders of the people, and stood them around the Tent. Bamidbar 11:24

50 The Lord descended in a cloud and spoke to him, and He increased some of the spirit that was on him and bestowed it on the seventy elders. And when the spirit rested upon them, they prophesied, but they did not continue. Bamidbar 11:25

46 Now two men remained in the camp; the name of one was Eldad and the name of the second was Medad, and the spirit rested upon them. They were among those written, but they did not go out to the tent, but prophesied in the camp. Bamidbar 11:26

36 The lad ran and told Moses, saying, Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp! Bamidbar 11:27

39 Joshua the son of Nun, Moses servant from his youth, answered and said, Moses, my master, imprison them! Bamidbar 11:28

33 Moses said to him, Are you zealous for my sake? If only all the Lord's people were prophets, that the Lord would bestow His spirit upon them! Bamidbar 11:29

37 Then Moses entered the camp; he and the elders of Israel. Bamidbar 11:30

35 A wind went forth from the Lord and swept quails from the sea and spread them over the camp about one day's journey this way and one day's journey that way, around the camp, about two cubits above the ground. Bamidbar 11:31

38 The people rose up all that day and all night and the next day and gathered the quails. Even the one who gathered the least collected ten heaps. They spread them around the camp in piles. Bamidbar 11:32

44 The meat was still between their teeth; it was not yet finished, and the anger of the Lord flared against the people, and the Lord struck the people with a very mighty blow. Bamidbar 11:33

34 He named that place Kivroth Hata'avah Graves of Craving, for there they buried the people who craved. Bamidbar 11:34

31 From Kivroth Hata'avah the people traveled to Hazeroth, and they stayed in Hazeroth. Bamidbar 11:35

32 Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses regarding the Cushite woman he had married, for he had married a Cushite woman. Bamidbar 12:1

29 They said, Has the Lord spoken only to Moses? Hasn't He spoken to us too? And the Lord heard. Bamidbar 12:2

28 Now this man Moses was exceedingly humble, more so than any person on the face of the earth. Bamidbar 12:3

29 The Lord suddenly said to Moses, Aaron and Miriam, Go out, all three of you, to the Tent of Meeting! And all three went out. Bamidbar 12:4

36 The Lord descended in a pillar of cloud and stood at the entrance of the Tent. He called to Aaron and Miriam, and they both went out. Bamidbar 12:5

35 He said, "Please listen to My words. If there be prophets among you, I the Lord will make Myself known to him in a vision; I will speak to him in a dream. Bamidbar 12:6

34 Not so is My servant Moses; he is faithful throughout My house. Bamidbar 12:7

37 With him I speak mouth to mouth; in a vision and not in riddles, and he beholds the image of the Lord. So why were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses ? Bamidbar 12:8

31 The wrath of the Lord flared against them and He left. Bamidbar 12:9

36 The cloud departed from above the Tent, and behold, Miriam was afflicted with tzara'ath, as white as snow. Then Aaron turned to Miriam and behold, she was afflicted with tzara'ath. Bamidbar 12:10

36 Aaron said to Moses, Please, master, do not put sin upon us for acting foolishly and for sinning. Bamidbar 12:11

28 Let her not be like the dead, which comes out of his mother's womb with half his flesh consumed! Bamidbar 12:12

35 Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, I beseech you, God, please heal her. Bamidbar 12:14

43 The Lord replied to Moses, If her father were to spit in her face, would she not be humiliated for seven days? She shall be confined for seven days outside the camp, and afterwards she may enter. Bamidbar 12:15

33 So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not travel until Miriam had entered. Bamidbar 12:15

35 Then the people departed from Hazeroth, and they camped in the desert of Paran. Bamidbar 12:16

33 The Lord spoke to Moses saying, Bamidbar 13:1

36 Send out for yourself men who will scout the Land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel. You shall send one man each for his father's tribe; each one shall be a chieftain in their midst. Bamidbar 13:2

37 So Moses sent them from the desert of Paran by the word of the Lord. All of them were men of distinction; they were the heads of the children of Israel. Bamidbar 13:3

26 These are their names: For the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zakkur. Bamidbar 13:4

30 For the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori. Bamidbar 13:5

21 For the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jepphunneh. Bamidbar 13:6

26 For the tribe of Issachar, Yigal the son of Joseph. Bamidbar 13:7

33 For the tribe of Ephraim, Hoshea the son of Nun. Bamidbar 13:8

33 For the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu. Bamidbar 13:9

27 For the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi. Bamidbar 13:10

29 For the tribe of Joseph, the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi. Bamidbar 13:11

39 For the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli. Bamidbar 13:12

28 For the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael. Bamidbar 13:13

24 For the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi. Bamidbar 13:14

29 For the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi. Bamidbar 13:15

39 These are the names of the men Moses sent to scout the Land, and Moses called Hoshea the son of Nun, Joshua. Bamidbar 13:16

39 Moses sent them to scout the Land of Canaan, and he said to them, Go up this way in the south and climb up the mountain. Bamidbar 13:17

42 You shall see what kind of land it is, and the people who inhabit it; are they strong or weak? Are there few or many? Bamidbar 13:18

34 And what of the land they inhabit? Is it good or bad? And what of the cities in which they reside are they in camps or in fortresses? Bamidbar 13:19

33 What is the soil like is it fat or lean? Are there any trees in it or not? You shall be courageous and take from the fruit of the land." It was the season when the first grapes begin to ripen. Bamidbar 13:20

24 So they went up and explored the land, from the desert of Zin until Rehov, at the entrance to Hamath. Bamidbar 13:21

30 They went up in, the south, and he came to Hebron, and there were Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the descendants of the giant. Now Hebron had been built seven years before Zoan of Egypt. Bamidbar 13:22

35 They came to the Valley of Eshkol and they cut a branch with a cluster of grapes. They carried it on a pole between two [people] and [they also took] some pomegranates and figs. Bamidbar 13:23

28 They called that place the Valley of Eshkol because of the cluster [eshkol] the children of Israel cut from there. Bamidbar 13:24

31 They returned from scouting the Land at the end of forty days. Bamidbar 13:25

43 They went, and they came to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel in the desert of Paran, to Kadesh. They brought them back a report, as well as to the entire congregation, and they showed them the fruit of the land. Bamidbar 13:26

38 They told him and said, "We came to the land to which you sent us, and it is flowing with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. Bamidbar 13:27

34 However, the people who inhabit the land are mighty, and the cities are extremely huge and fortified, and there we saw even the offspring of the giant. Bamidbar 13:28

43 The Amalekites dwell in the south land, while the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountainous region. The Canaanites dwell on the coast and alongside the Jordan." Bamidbar 13:29

36 Caleb silenced the people to [hear about] Moses, and he said, "We can surely go up and take possession of it, for we can indeed overcome it." Bamidbar 13:30

29 But the men who went up with him said, "We are unable to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we. Bamidbar 13:31

36 They spread an [evil] report about the land which they had scouted, telling the children of Israel, "The land we passed through to explore is a land that consumes its inhabitants, and all the people we saw in it are men of stature. Bamidbar 13:32

35 There we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, descended from the giants. In our eyes, we seemed like grasshoppers, and so we were in their eyes. Bamidbar 13:33

24 The entire community raised their voices and shouted, and the people wept on that night. Bamidbar 14:1

37 All the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron, and the entire congregation said, "If only we had died in the land of Egypt, or if only we had died in this desert. Bamidbar 14:2

43 Why does the Lord bring us to this land to fall by the sword; our wives and children will be as spoils. Is it not better for us to return to Egypt?" Bamidbar 14:3

27 They said to each other, "Let us appoint a leader and return to Egypt!" Bamidbar 14:4

38 Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before the entire congregation of the children of Israel. Bamidbar 14:5

33 Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, who were among those who had scouted the land, tore their clothes. Bamidbar 14:6

37 They spoke to the entire congregation of the children of Israel, saying, "The land we passed through to scout is an exceedingly good land. Bamidbar 14:7

35 If the Lord desires us, He will bring us to this land and give it to us, a land flowing with milk and honey. Bamidbar 14:8

29 But you shall not rebel against the Lord, and you will not fear the people of that land for they are [as] our bread. Their protection is removed from them, and the Lord is with us; do not fear them." Bamidbar 14:9

32 The entire congregation threatened to pelt them with stones, but the glory of the Lord appeared in the Tent of Meeting to all the children of Israel. Bamidbar 14:10

29 The Lord said to Moses, "How long will this people provoke Me? How much longer will they not believe in Me after all the signs I have performed in their midst? Bamidbar 14:11

32 I will strike them with a plague and annihilate them; then I will make you into a nation, greater and stronger than they." Bamidbar 14:12

34 Moses said to the Lord, "But the Egyptians will hear that You have brought this nation out from its midst with great power. Bamidbar 14:13

38 They will say about the inhabitants of this land, who have heard that You, O Lord, are in the midst of this people; that You, the Lord, appear to them eye to eye and that Your cloud rests over them. And You go before them with a pillar of cloud by day and with a pillar of fire by night, Bamidbar 14:14

29 And if You kill this nation like one man, the nations who have heard of Your reputation will say as follows: Bamidbar 14:15

34 Now, please, let the strength of the Lord be increased, as You spoke, saying. Bamidbar 14:17

47 'The Lord is slow to anger and abundantly kind, forgiving iniquity and transgression, Who cleanses some and does not cleanse [others], Who visits the iniquities of parents on children, even to the third and fourth generations.' Bamidbar 14:18

38 Please forgive the iniquity of this nation in accordance with your abounding kindness, as You have borne this people from Egypt until now." Bamidbar 14:19

41 And the Lord said, I have forgiven them in accordance with your word. Bamidbar 14:21

35 However, as surely as I live, and as the glory of the Lord fills the earth... Bamidbar 14:22

41 That all the people who perceived My glory, and the signs that I performed in Egypt and in the desert, yet they have tested me these ten times and not listened to My voice, Bamidbar 13:22

31 If they will see the Land that I swore to their fathers, and all who provoked Me will not see it. Bamidbar 13:23

44 But as for My servant Caleb, since he was possessed by another spirit, and he followed Me, I will bring him to the land to which he came, and his descendants will drive its inhabitants out. Bamidbar 13:24

36 The Amalekites and the Canaanites dwell in the valley. Tomorrow, turn back and journey into the desert toward the Red Sea." Bamidbar 13:25

34 The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying, Bamidbar 13:26

50 "How much longer will this evil congregation who are causing to complain against Me exist? The complaints of the children of Israel which they caused them to complain against Me, I have heard. Bamidbar 13:27

36 Say to them, 'As I live,' says the Lord, 'if not as you have spoken in My ears, so will I do to you. Bamidbar 13:28

35 In this desert, your corpses shall fall; your entire number, all those from the age of twenty and up, who were counted, because you complained against Me. Bamidbar 13:29

36 You shall not come into the Land concerning which I raised My hand that you would settle in it, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun. Bamidbar 13:30

33 As for your infants, of whom you said that they will be as spoils, I will bring them there, and they will come to know the Land which You despised. Bamidbar 13:31

28 But as for you, your corpses shall fall in this desert. Bamidbar 13:32

35 Your children shall wander in the desert for forty years and bear your defection until the last of your corpses has fallen in the desert. Bamidbar 13:33

41 According to the number of days which you toured the Land forty days, a day for each year, you will thus bear your iniquities for forty years; thus you will come to know My alienation. Bamidbar 13:34

30 I, the Lord, have spoken if I will not do this to the entire evil congregation who have assembled against me; in this desert they will end, and there they will die. Bamidbar 13:35

42 As for the men whom Moses had sent to scout the Land, who returned and caused the entire congregation to complain against him by spreading [a slanderous] report about the Land" Bamidbar 14:36

33 The men who spread an evil report about the Land died in the plague, before the Lord. Bamidbar 14:37

34 But Joshua the son of Nun and Caleb the son of Jephunneh remained alive of the men who went to tour the Land. Bamidbar 14:38

41 Moses related all these words to the children of Israel, and the people mourned greatly. Bamidbar 14:39

37 They arose early in the morning and ascended to the mountain top, saying, We are ready to go up to the place of which the Lord spoke, for we have sinned. Bamidbar 14:40

38 Moses said, "Why do you transgress the word of the Lord? It will not succeed. Bamidbar 14:41

29 Do not go up, for the Lord is not among you, so that you will not be beaten by your enemies. Bamidbar 14:42

32 For the Amalekites and the Canaanites are there before you, and you will fall by the sword. For you have turned away from the Lord, and the Lord will not be with you. Bamidbar 14:43

31 They defiantly ascended to the mountain top, but the Ark of the Covenant of the Lord and Moses did not move from the camp. Bamidbar 14:44

29 The Amalekites and the Canaanites who lived on the mountain came down and smote them and crushed them until Hormah. Bamidbar 14:45

27 The Lord spoke to Moses saying: Bamidbar 15:1

34 Speak to the children of Israel and say to them: When you arrive in the Land of your dwelling place, which I am giving you, Bamidbar 15:2

44 And you make a fire offering to the Lord, a burnt offering or a sacrifice namely a peace offering, for an expressed vow or for a voluntary offering or on your festivals, to provide a pleasing fragrance for the Lord, from the cattle or from the sheep. Bamidbar 15:3

37 The one who brings his offering to the Lord shall present a meal offering containing one tenth fine flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil. Bamidbar 15:4

30 And a quarter of a hin of wine for a libation, you shall prepare with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb. Bamidbar 15:5

33 Or for a ram, you shall present a meal offering containing two tenths fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil. Bamidbar 15:6

28 And a third of a hin of wine for a libation; you shall offer up, a pleasing fragrance to the Lord. Bamidbar 15:7

27 If you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice by expressing a vow, or for a peace offering for the Lord, Bamidbar 15:8

26 With the young bull he shall offer up a meal offering consisting of three tenths fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil. Bamidbar 15:9

21 And you shall offer half a hin of wine for a libation, a fire offering of pleasing fragrance to the Lord. Bamidbar 15:10

21 So shall it be done for each ox or ram, or for a young sheep or young goat. Bamidbar 15:11

26 In accordance with the number you offer up, so shall you present for each one, according to their numbers. Bamidbar 15:12

22 Every native born shall do it in this manner, to offer up a fire offering of pleasing fragrance to the Lord. Bamidbar 15:13

23 If a proselyte resides with you, or those among you in future generations, and he offers up a fire offering of pleasing fragrance to the Lord, as you make it, so shall he make it. Bamidbar 15:15

28 One rule applies to the assembly, for yourselves and for the proselyte who resides with you; one rule applies throughout your generations just as it is for you, so it is for the proselyte, before the Lord. Bamidbar 15:16

20 There shall be one law and one ordinance for you and the proselyte who resides with you. Bamidbar 15:16

22 The Lord spoke to Moses saying: Bamidbar 15:17

23 Speak to the children of Israel and you shall say to them, When you arrive in the Land to which I am bringing you, Bamidbar 15:18

28 And you eat from the bread of the Land, you shall set aside a gift for the Lord. Bamidbar 15:19

22 The first portion of your dough, you shall separate a loaf for a gift; as in the case of the gift of the threshing floor, so shall you separate it. Bamidbar 15:20

24 From the first portion of your dough you shall give a gift to the Lord in all your generations. Bamidbar 15:21

25 And if you should err and not fulfill all these commandments, which the Lord spoke to Moses. Bamidbar 15:22

17 All that the Lord commanded you through Moses, from the day on which the Lord commanded and from then on, for all generations. Bamidbar 15:23

27 If because of the eyes of the congregation it was committed inadvertently, the entire congregation shall prepare a young bull as a burnt offering for a pleasing fragrance for the Lord, with its prescribed meal offering and libation, and one young he goat for a sin offering. Bamidbar 15:24

23 The kohen shall atone on behalf of the entire congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them, for it was an error, and they have brought their offering as a fire offering to the Lord and their sin offering before the Lord because of their error. Bamidbar 15:25

27 The entire congregation of the children of Israel and the proselyte who resides with them shall be forgiven, for all the people were in error. Bamidbar 15:26

15 But if an individual sins inadvertently, he shall offer up a she goat in its first year as a sin offering. Bamidbar 15:27

19 And the kohen shall atone for the erring soul which sinned inadvertently before the Lord, so as to atone on his behalf, and it shall be forgiven him. Bamidbar 15:28

30 One law shall apply to anyone who sins inadvertently from the native born of the children of Israel and the proselyte who resides among them. Bamidbar 15:29

24 But if a person should act highhandedly, whether he is a native born or a proselyte, he is blaspheming the Lord, and that soul shall be cut off from among its people. Bamidbar 15:30

26 For he has scorned the word of the Lord and violated His commandment; that soul shall be utterly cut off for its iniquity is upon it. Bamidbar 15:31

25 Those who found him gathering wood presented him before Moses and Aaron and before the entire congregation. Bamidbar 15:33

22 They put him under guard, since it was not specified what was to be done to him. Bamidbar 15:34

34 The Lord said to Moses, The man shall be put to death; the entire congregation shall pelt him with stones outside the camp. Bamidbar 15:35

43 So the entire congregation took him outside the camp, and they pelted him to death with stones, as the Lord had commanded Moses. Bamidbar 15:36

20 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Bamidbar 15:37

23 Speak to the children of Israel and you shall say to them that they shall make for themselves fringes on the corners of their garments, throughout their generations, and they shall affix a thread of sky blue wool on the fringe of each corner. Bamidbar 15:38

25 This shall be fringes for you, and when you see it, you will remember all the commandments of the Lord to perform them, and you shall not wander after your hearts and after your eyes after which you are going astray. Bamidbar 15:39

19 So that you shall remember and perform all My commandments and you shall be holy to your God. Bamidbar 15:40

18 I am the Lord, your God, Who took you out of the land of Egypt to be your God; I am the Lord, your God. Bamidbar 15:41

24 Korah the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi took himself to one side along with Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On the son of Peleth, descendants of Reuben. Bamidbar 16:1

30 They confronted Moses together with two hundred and fifty men from the children of Israel, chieftains of the congregation, representatives of the assembly, men of repute. Bamidbar 16:2

25 They assembled against Moses and Aaron, and said to them, "You take too much upon yourselves, for the entire congregation are all holy, and the Lord is in their midst. So why do you raise yourselves above the Lord's assembly?" Bamidbar 16:3

23 Moses heard and fell on his face. Bamidbar 16:4

21 He spoke to Korah and to all his company, saying, "In the morning, the Lord will make known who is His, and who is holy, and He will draw them near to Him, and the one He chooses, He will draw near to Him. Bamidbar 16:5

22 Do this, Korah and his company: Take for yourselves censers. Bamidbar 16:6

25 Place fire into them and put incense upon them before the Lord tomorrow, and the man whom the Lord chooses he is the holy one; you have taken too much upon yourselves, sons of Levi." Bamidbar 16:7

18 Moses said to Korah, "Please listen, sons of Levi. Bamidbar 16:8

20 Is it not enough that the God of Israel has distinguished you from the congregation of Israel to draw you near to Him, to perform the service in the Mishkan of the Lord and to stand before the congregation to minister to them? Bamidbar 16:9

27 He drew you near, and all your brothers, the sons of Levi with you, and now you seek the kehunah as well? Bamidbar 16:10

25 Therefore, you and your entire company who are assembled are against the Lord, for what is Aaron that you should complain against him?" Bamidbar 16:11

28 Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, but they said, "We will not go up. Bamidbar 16:12

26 Is it not enough that you have brought us out of a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the desert, that you should also exercise authority over us? Bamidbar 16:13

31 You have not even brought us to a land flowing with milk and honey, nor have you given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Even if you gouge out the eyes of those men, we will not go up." Bamidbar 16:14

31 Moses was exceedingly distressed, and he said to the Lord, "Do not accept their offering. I have not taken a donkey from a single one of them, and I have not harmed a single one of them." Bamidbar 16:15

26 Moses said to Korah, You and your entire congregation should be before the Lord you, they, and Aaron tomorrow. Bamidbar 16:16

23 Let each man take his censer and place incense upon it, and let each man present his censer before the Lord; there will thus be two hundred and fifty censers, and let you and Aaron each take his censer. Bamidbar 16:17

21 So each man took his censer, and they put fire upon it and placed incense upon it, and they stood at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting with Moses and Aaron. Bamidbar 16:18

25 Korah assembled all the congregation against them at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the Lord appeared before the entire congregation. Bamidbar 16:19

24 The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron saying, Bamidbar 16:21

23 Dissociate yourselves from this congregation, and I will consume them in an instant. Bamidbar 16:22

32 They fell on their faces and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, if one man sins, shall You be angry with the whole congregation? Bamidbar 16:22

26 The Lord spoke to Moses saying, Bamidbar 16:23

32 Speak to the congregation saying, Withdraw from the dwelling of Korah, Dathan and Abiram. Bamidbar 16:24

26 Moses arose and went to Dathan and Abiram, and the elders of Israel followed him. Bamidbar 16:25

28 He spoke to the congregation saying, Please get away from the tents of these wicked men, and do not touch anything of theirs, lest you perish because of all their sins. Bamidbar 16:26

24 So they withdrew from around the dwelling of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, and Dathan and Abiram went out standing upright at the entrance of their tents together with their wives, their children, and their infants. Bamidbar 16:27

25 Moses said, With this you shall know that the Lord sent me to do all these deeds, for I did not devise them myself. Bamidbar 16:28

19 If these men die as all men die and the fate of all men will be visited upon them, then the Lord has not sent me. Bamidbar 16:29

27 But if the Lord creates a creation, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them and all that is theirs, and they descend alive into the grave, you will know that these men have provoked the Lord. Bamidbar 16:30

24 As soon as he finished speaking all these words, the earth beneath them split open. Bamidbar 16:31

28 The earth beneath them opened its mouth and swallowed them and their houses, and all the men who were with Korah and all the property. Bamidbar 16:32

22 They, and all they possessed, descended alive into the grave; the earth covered them up, and they were lost to the assembly. Bamidbar 16:33

17 All Israel who were around them fled from their cries, for they said, "Lest the earth swallow us up too!" Bamidbar 16:34

20 A fire came forth from the Lord and consumed the two hundred and fifty men who had offered up the incense. Bamidbar 16:35

26 The Lord spoke to Moses saying: Bamidbar 17:1

29 Say to Eleazar the son of Aaron the kohen that he should pick up the censers from the burned area but throw the fire away, because they have become sanctified, Bamidbar 17:2

30 The censers of these who sinned at the cost of their lives, and they shall make them into flattened out plates as an overlay for the altar, for they brought them before the Lord, and have therefore become sanctified, and they shall be as a reminder for the children of Israel. Bamidbar 17:3

32 So Eleazar the kohen took the copper censers which the fire victims had brought, and they hammered them out as an overlay for the altar, Bamidbar 17:4

31 As a reminder for the children of Israel, so that no outsider, who is not of the seed of Aaron, shall approach to burn incense before the Lord, so as not to be like Korah and his company, as the Lord spoke regarding him through the hand of Moses. Bamidbar 17:5

29 The following day, the entire congregation of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron saying, "You have killed the people of the Lord." Bamidbar 17:6

25 It came to pass while the congregation were assembled against Moses and Aaron, that they turned to the Tent of Meeting, and behold, the cloud had covered it, and the glory of the Lord appeared. Bamidbar 17:7

25 Moses and Aaron came to the front of the Tent of Meeting. Bamidbar 17:8

25 The Lord spoke to Moses saying: Bamidbar 17:9

25 Stand aside from this congregation, and I shall consume them in an instant. They fell on their faces. Bamidbar 17:10

32 Moses said to Aaron, "Take the censer and put fire from the altar top into it and put incense. Then take it quickly to the congregation and atone for them, for wrath has gone forth from the Lord, and the plague has begun." Bamidbar 17:11

29 Aaron took it, just as Moses had said, and he ran into the midst of the assembly, and behold, the plague had begun among the people. He placed the incense on it and atoned for the people. Bamidbar 17:12

19 He stood between the dead and the living, and the plague ceased. Bamidbar 17:13

27 The number of dead in the plague was fourteen thousand, seven hundred, besides those who died because of the matter of Korah. Bamidbar 17:14

23 Aaron returned to Moses at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, and the plague was checked. Bamidbar 17:15

18 The Lord said to Moses saying: Bamidbar 17:16

27 Speak to the children of Israel and take from them a staff for each father's house from all the chieftains according to their father's houses; a total of twelve staffs, and inscribe each man's name on his staff. Bamidbar 17:17

28 Inscribe Aaron's name on the staff of Levi, for there is only one staff for the head of their fathers' house. Bamidbar 17:18

21 You shall place the staffs in the Tent of Meeting before the Ark of the Testimony where I commune with you. Bamidbar 17:19

23 The staff of the man whom I will choose will blossom, and I will calm down turning away from Myself the complaints of the children of Israel which they are complaining against you. Bamidbar 17:20

39 Moses spoke to the children of Israel, and all their chieftains gave him a staff for each chieftain according to their fathers' houses, a total of twelve staffs, and Aaron's staff was amidst their staffs. Bamidbar 17:21

25 Moses placed the staffs before the Lord in the Tent of the Testimony. Bamidbar 17:22

41 And on the following day Moses came to the Tent of Testimony, and behold, Aaron's staff for the house of Levi had blossomed! It gave forth blossoms, sprouted buds, and produced ripe almonds. Bamidbar 17:23

27 Moses took out all the staffs from before the Lord, to the children of Israel; they saw and they took, each man his staff. Bamidbar 17:24

29 The Lord said to Moses: Put Aaron's staff back in front of the Testimony as a keepsake and a sign for rebellious ones. Then their complaints against Me will end and they will not die. Bamidbar 17:25

21 Moses did so. He did just as the Lord had commanded him. Bamidbar 17:26

23 The children of Israel spoke to Moses saying, Behold, we are dying, we will perish, we are all lost! Bamidbar 17:27

24 Whoever comes the closest to the Mishkan of the Lord dies! Have we been consigned to die? Bamidbar 17:28

21 The Lord said to Aaron: You, your sons and your father's house shall bear the iniquity associated with the Sanctuary, and you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity associated with your kehunah. Bamidbar 18:1

20 Also your brethren, the tribe of Levi, your father's tribe, draw close to you, and they shall join you and minister to you, and you and your sons with you, before the Tent of Testimony. Bamidbar 18:2

22 They shall keep your charge and the charge of the Tent, and they shall not approach the holy vessels or the altar, so that neither they nor you will die. Bamidbar 18:3

20 They shall join you, and they shall keep the charge of the Tent of Meeting for all the service of the Tent, and no outsider shall come near you. Bamidbar 18:4

21 They shall keep the charge of the Sanctuary and the charge of the altar, so that there be no more wrath against the children of Israel. Bamidbar 18:5

25 I have therefore taken your brethren, the Levites, from among the children of Israel; they are given to you as a gift, and given over to the Lord to perform the service in the Tent of Meeting. Bamidbar 18:6

25 And you and your sons shall keep your kehunah in all matters concerning the altar, and concerning what is within the dividing screen, and you shall serve; the service as a gift I have given your kehunah, and any outsider non-kohen who approaches shall die. Bamidbar 18:7

31 The Lord told Aaron: Behold I have given you the charge of My gift offerings. I have thus given you all the holy things of the children of Israel for distinction, and as an eternal portion for your sons. Bamidbar 18:8

18 These shall be yours from the holiest of holies, from the fire: all their offerings, their meal-offerings, their sin-offerings, their guilt-offerings, and what they return to Me; they shall be holy of holies to you and to your sons. Bamidbar 18:9

28 You shall eat it in the holiest of places. Any male may eat of it; it shall be holy to you. Bamidbar 18:10

32 This shall be yours what is set aside for their gifts from all the wavings of the children of Israel; I have given them to you, and to your sons and to your daughters with you, as an eternal portion. Any ritually clean member of your household may eat it. Bamidbar 18:11

20 The choice of the oil and the choice of the wine and grain, the first of which they give to the Lord, to you I have given them. Bamidbar 18:12

29 The first fruit of all that grows in their land, which they shall bring to the Lord shall be yours; any ritually clean member of your household may eat of it. Bamidbar 18:13

30 Any devoted thing in Israel shall be yours. Bamidbar 18:14

28 Every first issue of the womb of any creature, which they present to the Lord, whether of man or beast, shall be yours. However, you shall redeem the firstborn of man, and the firstborn of unclean animals you shall redeem. Bamidbar 18:15

25 Its redemption shall be performed from the age of a month, according to the valuation, five shekels of silver, according to the holy shekel, which is twenty gerahs. Bamidbar 18:16

24 However, a firstborn ox or a firstborn sheep or a firstborn goat shall not be redeemed, for they are holy; their blood shall be sprinkled on the altar, and their fats shall be burned as a fire-offering, as a pleasing fragrance to the Lord. Bamidbar 18:17

19 Their flesh shall be yours; like the breast of the waving and the right thigh, it shall be yours. Bamidbar 18:18

26 All the gifts of the holy offerings which are set aside by the children of Israel for the Lord I have given to you, and to your sons and daughters with you, as an eternal portion; it is like an eternal covenant of salt before the Lord, for you and your descendants with you. Bamidbar 18:19

24 The Lord said to Aaron, You shall not inherit in their land, and you shall have no portion among them. I am your inheritance and portion among the children of Israel. Bamidbar 18:20

22 And to the descendants of Levi, I have given all tithes of Israel as an inheritance, in exchange for their service which they perform-the service of the Tent of Meeting. Bamidbar 18:21

24 The children of Israel shall therefore no longer approach the Tent of Meeting, lest they bear sin and die. Bamidbar 18:22

29 The Levites shall perform the service of the Tent of Meeting, and they will bear their iniquity; it is an eternal statute for your generations, but among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance. Bamidbar 18:23

25 For the tithes of the children of Israel, which they shall set aside for the Lord as a gift, I have given to the Levites as an inheritance. Thus, I have said to them that they shall have no inheritance among the children of Israel. Bamidbar 18:24

24 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Bamidbar 18:25

30 Speak to the Levites and tell them, "When you take the tithe from the children of Israel which I have given you from them as your inheritance, you shall set aside from it a gift for the Lord, a tithe of the tithe. Bamidbar 18:26

24 Your gift shall be considered for you as grain from the threshing-floor and as the produce of the vat. Bamidbar 18:27

25 So shall you too set aside a gift for the Lord from all the tithes you take from the children of Israel, and you shall give thereof the Lord's gift to Aaron the priest. Bamidbar 18:28

26 From all your gifts, you shall set aside every gift of the Lord, from its choicest portion, that part of it which is to be consecrated. Bamidbar 18:29

29 Say to them, When you separate its choicest part, it shall be considered for the Levites as produce from the threshing-floor and as produce from the vat. Bamidbar 18:30

32 You and your household may eat it anywhere, for it is your wage for you in exchange for your service in the Tent of Meeting. Bamidbar 18:31

26 After you separate the choicest part from it, you shall not bear any sin on account of it, but you shall not profane the sacred offerings of the children of Israel, so that you shall not die. Bamidbar 18:32

25 The Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying: Bamidbar 19:1

29 This is the statute of the Torah which the Lord commanded, saying, Speak to the children of Israel and have them take for you a perfectly red unblemished cow, upon which no yoke was laid. Bamidbar 19:2

21 And you shall give it to Eleazar the kohen, and he shall take it outside the camp and slaughter it in his presence. Bamidbar 19:3

26 Eleazar the kohen shall take from its blood with his finger and sprinkle it toward the front of the Tent of Meeting seven times. Bamidbar 19:4

21 The cow shall then be burned in his presence; its hide, its flesh, its blood, with its dung he shall burn it. Bamidbar 19:5

27 The kohen shall take a piece of cedar wood, hyssop, and crimson wool, and cast them into the burning of the cow. Bamidbar 19:6

21 The kohen shall wash his garments and bathe his flesh in water, and then he may enter the camp, and the kohen shall be unclean until evening. Bamidbar 19:7

26 The one who burns it shall wash his clothes in water and cleanse his body in water, and he shall be unclean until evening. Bamidbar 19:8

29 A ritually clean person shall gather the cow's ashes and place them outside the camp in a clean place, and It shall be as a keepsake for the congregation of the children of Israel for sprinkling water, used for cleansing. Bamidbar 19:9

32 The one who gathers the cow's ashes shall wash his clothes, and he shall be unclean until evening. It shall be an everlasting statute for the children of Israel and for the proselyte who resides in their midst. Bamidbar 19:10

31 Anyone touching the corpse of a human soul shall become unclean for seven days. Bamidbar 19:11

26 On the third and seventh days, he shall cleanse himself with it, so that he can become clean. But if he does not sprinkle himself with it on the third and seventh days, he shall not become clean. Bamidbar 19:12

30 Whoever touches the corpse of a human soul which dies, and he does not cleanse himself, he has defiled the Mishkan of the Lord, and that soul shall be cut off from Israel. For the sprinkling water was not sprinkled on him, so he remains unclean, and his uncleanness remains upon him. Bamidbar 19:13

26 This is the law: if a man dies in a tent, anyone entering the tent and anything in the tent shall be unclean for seven days. Bamidbar 19:14

25 Any open vessel which has no seal fastened around it becomes unclean. Bamidbar 19:15

30 Anyone who touches one slain by the sword, or a corpse, or a human bone or a grave, in an open field, he shall be unclean for seven days. Bamidbar 19:16

24 They shall take for that unclean person from the ashes of the burnt purification offering, and it shall be placed in a vessel filled with spring water. Bamidbar 19:17

31 A ritually clean person shall take the hyssop and dip it into the water and sprinkle it on the tent, on all the vessels, and on the people who were in it, and on anyone who touched the bone, the slain person, the corpse, or the grave. Bamidbar 19:18

29 The ritually clean person shall sprinkle on the unclean person on the third day and on the seventh day, and he shall cleanse him on the seventh day, and he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and he shall become ritually clean in the evening. Bamidbar 19:19

29 If a person becomes unclean and does not cleanse himself, that soul shall be cut off from the congregation, for he has defiled the Sanctuary of the Lord; the sprinkling waters were not sprinkled upon him. He is unclean. Bamidbar 19:20

35 This shall be for them as a perpetual statute, and the one who sprinkles the sprinkling waters shall wash his clothes, and one who touches the sprinkling waters shall be unclean until evening. Bamidbar 19:21

28 Whatever the unclean one touches shall become unclean, and anyone touching him shall be unclean until evening. Bamidbar 19:22

29 The entire congregation of the children of Israel arrived at the desert of Zin in the first month, and the people settled in Kadesh. Miriam died there and was buried there. Bamidbar 20:1

24 The congregation had no water; so they assembled against Moses and Aaron. Bamidbar 20:2

32 The people quarreled with Moses, and they said, If only we had died with the death of our brothers before the Lord. Bamidbar 20:3

21 Why have you brought the congregation of the Lord to this desert so that we and our livestock should die there? Bamidbar 20:4

28 Why have you taken us out of Egypt to bring us to this evil place; it is not a place for seeds, or for fig trees, grapevines, or pomegranate trees, and there is no water to drink. Bamidbar 20:5

30 Moses and Aaron moved away from the assembly to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, and they fell on their faces. Then the glory of the Lord appeared to them. Bamidbar 20:6

24 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Bamidbar 20:7

21 "Take the staff and assemble the congregation, you and your brother Aaron, and speak to the rock in their presence so that it will give forth its water. You shall bring forth water for them from the rock and give the congregation and their livestock to drink." Bamidbar 20:8

24 Moses took the staff from before the Lord as He had commanded him. Bamidbar 20:9

31 Moses and Aaron assembled the congregation in front of the rock, and he said to them, "Now listen, you rebels, can we draw water for you from this rock?" Bamidbar 20:10

36 Moses raised his hand and struck the rock with his staff twice, when an abundance of water gushed forth, and the congregation and their livestock drank. Bamidbar 20:11

28 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, "Since you did not have faith in Me to sanctify Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly to the Land which I have given them. Bamidbar 20:12

28 These are the waters of dispute Mei Meribah where the children of Israel contended with the Lord, and He was sanctified through them. Bamidbar 20:13

24 Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom: "So says your brother, Israel, 'You know of all the hardship that has befallen us. Bamidbar 20:14

32 Our fathers went down to Egypt, and we sojourned in Egypt for a long time. And the Egyptians mistreated us and our forefathers. Bamidbar 20:15

17 We cried out to the Lord and He heard our voice. He sent an angel, and he took us out of Egypt, and now we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your border. Bamidbar 20:16

24 Please let us pass through your land; we will not pass through fields or vineyards, nor will we drink well water. We will walk along the king's road, and we will turn neither to the right nor to the left until we have passed through your territory. Bamidbar 20:17

29 Edom replied to him, "You shall not pass through me, lest I go out towards you with the sword!" Bamidbar 20:18

31 The children of Israel said to him, "We will keep to the highway, and if we drink your water, either I or my cattle, we will pay its price. It is really nothing; I will pass through on foot." Bamidbar 20:19

20 But he said, "You shall not pass through!" and Edom came out toward them with a vast force and with a strong hand. Bamidbar 20:20

26 Edom refused to allow Israel to cross through his territory; so Israel turned away from him. Bamidbar 20:21

19 They traveled from Kadesh, and the entire congregation of the children of Israel arrived at Mount Hor. Bamidbar 20:22

25 The Lord said to Moses and Aaron at Mount Hor, on the border of the land of Edom, saying, Bamidbar 20:23

35 Aaron shall be gathered to his people, for he shall not come to the Land which I have given to the children of Israel, because you defied My word at the waters of dispute Mei Meribah. Bamidbar 20:24

17 Take Aaron and Eleazar his son and ascend Mount Hor. Bamidbar 20:25

28 Strip Aaron of his garments and dress Eleazar his son with them. Then Aaron shall be gathered in to his people and die there. Bamidbar 20:26

33 Moses did as the Lord commanded him. They ascended Mount Hor in the presence of the entire congregation. Bamidbar 20:27

32 Moses then stripped Aaron of his garments and dressed Eleazar his son in them, and Aaron died there on the top of the mountain. Then Moses and Eleazar descended from the mountain. Bamidbar 20:28

30 The whole congregation saw that Aaron had expired, and the entire house of Israel wept for Aaron for thirty days. Bamidbar 20:29

25 The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the south, heard that Israel had come by the route of the spies, and he waged war against Israel and took from them a captive. Bamidbar 21:1

23 Israel made a vow to the Lord, and said, "If You deliver this people into my hand, I shall consecrate their cities." Bamidbar 21:2

27 The Lord heard Israel's voice and delivered the Canaanite. He destroyed them and consecrated their cities, and he called the place Hormah. Bamidbar 21:3

22 They journeyed from Mount Hor by way of the Red Sea to circle the land of Edom, and the people became disheartened because of the way. Bamidbar 21:4

25 The people spoke against God and against Moses, "Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in this desert, for there is no bread and no water, and we are disgusted with this rotten bread." Bamidbar 21:5

28 The Lord sent against the people the venomous snakes, and they bit the people, and many people of Israel died. Bamidbar 21:6

29 The people came to Moses and said, "We have sinned, for we have spoken against the Lord and against you. Pray to the Lord that He remove the snakes from us." So Moses prayed on behalf of the people. Bamidbar 21:7

26 The Lord said to Moses, Make yourself a serpent and put it on a pole, and let whoever is bitten look at it and live. Bamidbar 21:8

24 Moses made a copper snake and put it on a pole, and whenever a snake bit a man, he would gaze upon the copper snake and live. Bamidbar 21:9

25 The children of Israel journeyed on and camped in Oboth. Bamidbar 21:10

25 They journeyed from Oboth and camped in the wasteland passes in the wilderness, which faced Moab, toward the rising sun. Bamidbar 21:11

26 From there they journeyed, and they encamped along the stream of Zered. Bamidbar 21:12

21 From there they journeyed, and they encamped on the other side of the Arnon, which was in the desert, extending from the Amorite border, for Arnon was the Moabite border between Moab and the Amorites. Bamidbar 21:13

30 Concerning this it is told in the account of the Wars of the Lord, What He gave at the Sea of Reeds and the streams of Arnon. Bamidbar 21:14

19 And the spilling of the streams that turned to settle at Ar and leaned toward the border of Moab. Bamidbar 21:15

17 From there to the well; that is the well of which the Lord said to Moses, Gather the people, and I will give them water. Bamidbar 21:16

23 Then Israel sang this song: Ascend, O well, sing to it! Bamidbar 21:17

27 A well dug by princes, carved out by nobles of the people, through the lawgiver with their staffs, and from the desert, a gift. Bamidbar 21:18

19 From the gift, to the streams, and from the streams to the heights. Bamidbar 21:19

23 From the heights to the valley in the field of Moab, at the top of the peak, that overlooks the wastelands. Bamidbar 21:20

21 Israel sent messengers to Sihon the king of the Amorites, saying: Bamidbar 21:21

30 "Let me pass through your land. We will not turn into fields or vineyards, nor drink well water. We shall walk along the king's road, until we have passed through your territory." Bamidbar 21:22

29 But Sihon did not permit Israel to pass through his territory, and Sihon gathered all his people and went out to the desert toward Israel. He arrived at Jahaz and fought against Israel. Bamidbar 21:23

30 Israel smote him with the sword, and took possession of his land from Arnon to Jabbok, as far as the children of Ammon, for the border of the children of Ammon was strong. Bamidbar 21:24

27 Israel took all these cities, and the Israelites dwelt in all the cities of the Amorites, in Heshbon and all its villages. Bamidbar 21:25

24 For Heshbon was the city of Sihon, king of the Amorites, and he had fought against the first king of Moab, taking all his land from his possession, as far as Arnon. Bamidbar 21:26

27 Concerning this, those who speak in parables say, Come to Heshbon, may it be built and established as the city of Sihon. Bamidbar 21:27

17 For fire went forth from Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon; it consumed Ar of Moab, the masters of the high places of Arnon. Bamidbar 21:28

21 Woe is to you, Moab; you are lost, people of Chemosh. His sons he has given over as refugees and his daughters into captivity, to Sihon, king of the Amorites. Bamidbar 21:29

26 Their kingdom is destroyed from Heshbon; it has been removed from Dibon; we laid them waste as far as Nophah which is near Medeba. Bamidbar 21:30

18 Israel settled in the land of the Amorites. Bamidbar 21:31

26 Moses sent men to spy out Jaazer and they captured its villages, driving out the Amorites who lived there. Bamidbar 21:32

28 Then they turned and headed north toward the Bashan. Og, the king of Bashan, came out toward them with all his people, to wage war at Edrei. Bamidbar 21:33

24 The Lord said to Moses, "Do not fear him, for I have delivered him, his people, and his land into your hand. You shall do to him as you did to Sihon the king of the Amorites who dwells in Heshbon. Bamidbar 21:34

24 They smote him, his sons and all his people, until there was no survivor, and they took possession of his land. Bamidbar 21:35

28 The children of Israel journeyed and encamped in the plains of Moab, across the Jordan from Jericho. Bamidbar 22:1

31 Balak the son of Zippor saw all that Israel had done to the Amorites. Bamidbar 22:2

23 Moab became terrified of the people, for they were numerous, and Moab became disgusted because of the children of Israel. Bamidbar 22:3

27 Moab said to the elders of Midian, "Now this assembly will eat up everything around us, as the ox eats up the greens of the field. Balak the son of Zippor was king of Moab at that time. Bamidbar 22:4

34 He sent messengers to Balaam the son of Beor, to Pethor, which is by the river of the land of his people, to call for him, saying, "A people has come out of Egypt, and behold, they have covered the "eye" of the land, and they are stationed opposite me. Bamidbar 22:5

26 So now, please come and curse this people for me, for they are too powerful for me. Perhaps I will be able to wage war against them and drive them out of the land, for I know that whomever you bless is blessed and whomever you curse is cursed." Bamidbar 22:6

35 So the elders of Moab and the elders of Midian went, with magic charms in their hands, and they came to Balaam and conveyed Balak's message to him. Bamidbar 22:7

29 He said to them, "Lodge here for the night, and I will give you an answer when the Lord speaks to me." So the Moabite nobles stayed with Balaam. Bamidbar 22:8

28 God came to Balaam and said, "Who are these men with you?" Bamidbar 22:9

26 Balaam said to God, "Balak the son of Zippor the king of Moab has sent them to me, saying: Bamidbar 22:10

28 "Behold the people coming out of Egypt, a nation, has covered the 'eye' of the earth. Come and curse them for me, perhaps I will be able to fight against them and drive them out." Bamidbar 22:11

29 God said to Balaam, "You shall not go with them! You shall not curse the people because they are blessed." Bamidbar 22:12

29 When Balaam arose in the morning, he said to Balak's nobles, "Return to your country, for the Lord has refused to let me go with you." Bamidbar 22:13

28 Moab's nobles arose and came to Balak and said, "Balaam refuses to come with us." Bamidbar 22:14

26 So Balak continued to send dignitaries, more and higher in rank than these. Bamidbar 22:15

18 They came to Balaam and said to him, So said Balak the son of Zippor, Please do not hesitate to come to me. Bamidbar 22:16

22 For I will honor you greatly and do whatever you tell me to do. So please come and curse this people for me. Bamidbar 22:17

27 Balaam answered and said to Balak's servants, Even if Balak gives me a house full of silver and gold, I cannot do anything small or great that would transgress the word of the Lord, my God. Bamidbar 22:18

24 Now, you too, please remain here overnight, and I will know what the Lord will continue to speak with me. Bamidbar 22:19

27 God came to Balaam at night and said to him, "If these men have come to call for you, arise and go with them, but the word I speak to you-that you shall do." Bamidbar 22:20

34 In the morning Balaam arose, saddled his she-donkey and went with the Moabite dignitaries. Bamidbar 22:21

31 God's wrath flared because he was going, and an angel of the Lord stationed himself on the road to thwart him, and he was riding on his she-donkey, and his two servants were with him. Bamidbar 22:22

31 The she-donkey saw the angel of the Lord stationed on the road with his sword drawn in his hand; so the she-donkey turned aside from the road and went into a field. Balaam beat the she-donkey to get it back onto the road. Bamidbar 22:23

18 The angel of the Lord stood in a path of the vineyards, with a fence on this side and a fence on that side. Bamidbar 22:24

26 The she-donkey saw the angel of the Lord, and she was pressed against the wall. She pressed Balaam's leg against the wall, and he beat her again. Bamidbar 22:25

26 The angel of the Lord continued going ahead, and he stood in a narrow place, where there was no room to turn right or left. Bamidbar 22:26

30 The she-donkey saw the angel of the Lord, and it crouched down under Balaam. Balaam's anger flared, and he beat the she-donkey with a stick. Bamidbar 22:27

24 The Lord opened the mouth of the she-donkey, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you that you have struck me these three times?" Bamidbar 22:28

32 Balaam said to the she-donkey, "For you have humiliated me; if I had a sword in my hand, I would kill you right now." Bamidbar 22:29

27 The she-donkey said to Balaam, "Am I not your she-donkey on which you have ridden since you first started until now? Have I been accustomed to do this to you?" He said, "No." Bamidbar 22:30

31 The Lord opened Balaam's eyes, and he saw the angel of the Lord standing in the road, with a sword drawn in his hand. He bowed and prostrated himself on his face. Bamidbar 22:31

26 The angel of the Lord said to him, "Why have you beaten your she-donkey these three times? Behold, I have came out to thwart you, for the one embarking on the journey has hastened against me. Bamidbar 22:32

24 When the she-donkey saw me, it turned aside these three times. Had she not turned aside before me, now also I would also have killed you and spared her [the she-donkey]." Bamidbar 22:33

27 Balaam said to the angel of the Lord, "I have sinned, for I did not know that you were standing on the road before me. Now, if it displeases you, I will return." Bamidbar 22:34

29 The angel of the Lord said to Balaam, "Go with these men, but the word I will speak to you-that you shall speak." So Balaam went with Balak's dignitaries. Bamidbar 22:35

30 Balak heard that Balaam was coming; so he went out toward him to the city of Moab which is on the border of Arnon-at the extreme edge of the border. Bamidbar 22:36

32 Balak said to Balaam, "Did I not send to you to call for you? Why did you not come to me? Am I indeed incapable of honoring you?" Bamidbar 22:37

33 Balaam said to Balak, "Behold I have come to you, do I have any power to say anything? The word God puts into my mouth-that I will speak." Bamidbar 22:38

32 Balaam went with Balak, and they arrived at Kiryath Huzoth a city of streets. Bamidbar 22:39

27 Balak slaughtered cattle and sheep and sent some to Balaam and to the dignitaries with him. Bamidbar 22:40

28 And in the morning Balak took Balaam and led him up to Bamoth Baal, and from there he saw part of the people. Bamidbar 22:41

33 Balaam said to Balak, "Build me seven altars here, and prepare for me seven bulls and seven rams." Bamidbar 23:1

23 Balak did as Balaam had requested, and Balak and Balaam offered up a bull and a ram on each altar. Bamidbar 23:2

25 Balaam said to Balak, "Stand beside your burnt offering, and I will go. Perhaps the Lord will happen to appear to me, and He will show me something that I can tell you," and he went alone. Bamidbar 23:3

27 God chanced upon Balaam, and he said to Him, "I have set up the seven altars, and I have offered up a bull and a ram on each altar." Bamidbar 23:4

35 The Lord placed something into Balaam's mouth, and He said, "Return to Balak and say as follows." Bamidbar 23:5

28 When he returned, Balak was standing next to his burnt offering, he and all the Moabite dignitaries. Bamidbar 23:6

34 He took up his parable and said, "Balak the king of Moab has brought me from Aram, from the mountains of the east saying, 'Come, curse Jacob for me and come invoke wrath against Israel.' Bamidbar 23:7

17 How can I curse whom God has not cursed, and how can I invoke wrath if the Lord has not been angered? Bamidbar 23:8

24 For from their beginning, I see them as mountain peaks, and I behold them as hills; it is a nation that will dwell alone, and will not be reckoned among the nations. Bamidbar 23:9

36 Who counted the dust of Jacob or the number of a fourth of or, of the seed of Israel? May my soul die the death of the upright and let my end be like his." Bamidbar 23:10

25 Balak said to Balaam, "What have you done to me? I took you to curse my enemies, but you have blessed them!" Bamidbar 23:11

34 He answered, saying, "What the Lord puts into my mouth that I must take care to say." Bamidbar 23:12

30 Balak said to him, Come with me to another place from where you will see them; however, you will see only a part of them, not all of them and curse them for me from there. Bamidbar 23:13

30 He took him to the field of the lookouts, to the peak of the mountain, and he built seven altars and offered up a bull and a ram on each altar. Bamidbar 23:14

32 He said to Balak, Stand here next to your burnt offering and I will be chanced on here. Bamidbar 23:15

28 The Lord chanced upon Balaam and placed something into his mouth. He said, Return to Balak and so you shall speak. Bamidbar 23:16

28 When he came to him, he was standing next to his burnt offering, and the Moabite dignitaries were with him, and Balak said to him, What did the Lord speak? Bamidbar 23:17

29 He took up his parable and said, Arise, Balak, and hear; listen closely to me, son of Zippor. Bamidbar 23:18

19 God is not a man that He should lie, nor is He a mortal that He should relent. Would He say and not do, speak and not fulfill? Bamidbar 23:19

27 I have received an instruction to bless, and He has blessed, and I cannot retract it. Bamidbar 23:20

33 He does not look at evil in Jacob, and has seen no perversity in Israel; the Lord, his God, is with him, and he has the King's friendship. Bamidbar 23:21

20 God has brought them out of Egypt with the strength of His loftiness. Bamidbar 23:22

29 For there is no divination in Jacob and no soothsaying in Israel. In time it will be said to Jacob and Israel, What has God wrought? Bamidbar 23:23

27 Behold, a people that rises like a lioness See Malbim and raises itself like a lion. It does not lie down until it eats its prey and drinks the blood of the slain." Bamidbar 23:24

23 Balak said to Balaam, "You shall neither curse them nor shall you bless them." Bamidbar 23:25

32 Balaam answered and said to Balak, "Have I not spoken to you, saying, 'Everything the Lord speaks that I shall do." Bamidbar 23:26

28 Balak said to Balaam, "Come now, I will take you to a different place. Perhaps it will please God, and you will curse them for me from there. Bamidbar 23:27

37 So Balak took Balaam to the peak of Peor, overlooking the wastelands. Bamidbar 23:28

29 Balaam said to Balak, "Build me seven altars here and prepare for me seven bulls and seven rams. Bamidbar 23:29

31 Balak did as Balaam told him, and offered up a bull and a ram on each altar. Bamidbar 23:30

36 Balaam saw that it pleased the Lord to bless Israel; so he did not go in search of omens as he had done time and time again, but turned his face toward the desert. Bamidbar 24:1

31 Balaam raised his eyes and saw Israel dwelling according to its tribes, and the spirit of God rested upon him. Bamidbar 24:2

25 He took up his parable and said, "The word of Balaam the son of Beor and the word of the man with an open eye. Bamidbar 24:3

27 The word of the one who hears God's sayings, who sees the vision of the Almighty, fallen yet with open eyes. Bamidbar 24:4

34 How goodly are your tents, O Jacob, your dwelling places, O Israel! Bamidbar 24:5

24 They extend like streams, like gardens by the river, like aloes which the Lord planted, like cedars by the water. Bamidbar 24:6

27 Water will flow from his wells, and his seed shall have abundant water; his king shall be raised over Agag, and his kingship exalted. Bamidbar 24:7

26 God, Who has brought them out of Egypt with the strength of His loftiness He shall consume the nations which are his adversaries, bare their bones and dip His arrows into their blood. Bamidbar 24:8

27 He crouches and lies like a lion and like a lioness; who will dare rouse him? Those who bless you shall be blessed, and those who curse you shall be cursed. Bamidbar 24:9

31 Balak's anger flared against Balaam, and he clapped his hands. Balak said to Balaam, "I called you to curse my enemies, but you have blessed them these three times. Bamidbar 24:10

19 Now, hurry back to your place. I said I would honor you greatly, but the Lord has deprived you of honor." Bamidbar 24:11

27 Balaam said to Balak, But I even told the messengers you sent to me, saying, Bamidbar 24:12

26 If Balak gives me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot transgress the word of the Lord to do either good or evil on my own; only what the Lord speaks can I speak. Bamidbar 24:13

18 And now, I am going to my people. Come, I will advise you...what this people will do to your people at the end of days. Bamidbar 24:14

21 He took up his parable and said, "The word of Balaam, son of Beor, the word of a man with an open eye. Bamidbar 24:15

30 The word of the one who hears God's sayings and perceives the thoughts of the Most High; who sees the vision of the Almighty, fallen yet with open eyes. Bamidbar 24:16

39 I see it, but not now; I behold it, but not soon. A star has gone forth from Jacob, and a staff will arise from Israel which will crush the princes of Moab and uproot all the sons of Seth. Bamidbar 24:17

27 Edom shall be possessed, and Seir shall become the possession of his enemies, and Israel shall triumph. Bamidbar 24:18

29 A ruler shall come out of Jacob, and destroy the remnant of the city." Bamidbar 24:19

25 When he saw Amalek, he took up his parable and said, "Amalek was the first of the nations, and his fate shall be everlasting destruction." Bamidbar 24:20

25 When he saw the Kenite, he took up his parable and said, "How firm is your dwelling place, and your nest is set in a cliff. Bamidbar 24:21

17 For if Kain is laid waste, how far will Assyria take you captive?" Bamidbar 24:22

19 He took up his parable and said, Alas! Who can survive these things from God? Bamidbar 24:23

19 Ships will come from the Kittites and afflict Assyria and afflict those on the other side, but he too will perish forever." Bamidbar 24:24

27 Balaam arose, went, and returned home, and Balak went on his way. Bamidbar 24:25

27 Israel settled in Shittim, and the people began to commit harlotry with the daughters of the Moabites. Bamidbar 25:1

23 They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and prostrated themselves to their gods. Bamidbar 25:2

19 Israel became attached to Baal Peor, and the anger of the Lord flared against Israel. Bamidbar 25:3

26 Israel became attached to Baal Peor, and the anger of the Lord flared against Israel. Bamidbar 25:4

29 Moses said to the judges of Israel, Each of you shall kill the men who became attached to Baal Peor. Bamidbar 25:5

33 Then an Israelite man came and brought the Midianite woman to his brethren, before the eyes of Moses and before the eyes of the entire congregation of the children of Israel, while they were weeping at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting. Bamidbar 25:6

18 Phinehas the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron the kohen saw this, arose from the congregation, and took a spear in his hand. Bamidbar 25:7

28 He went after the Israelite man into the chamber and drove it through both of them; the Israelite man, and the woman through her stomach, and the plague ceased from the children of Israel. Bamidbar 25:8

25 Those that died in the plague numbered twenty four thousand. Bamidbar 25:9

21 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Bamidbar 25:10

34 Phinehas the son of Eleazar the son of Aaron the kohen has turned My anger away from the children of Israel by his zealously avenging Me among them, so that I did not destroy the children of Israel because of My zeal. Bamidbar 25:11

26 Therefore, say, "I hereby give him My covenant of peace. Bamidbar 25:12

28 It shall be for him and for his descendants after him [as] an eternal covenant of kehunah, because he was zealous for his God and atoned for the children of Israel." Bamidbar 25:13

33 For they distress you with their plots which they contrived against you in the incident of Peor and in the incident of Cozbi their sister, the daughter of the Midianite chieftain, who was slain on the day of the plague that had come because of Peor. Bamidbar 25:18

25 It was after the plague, that the Lord spoke to Moses and to Eleazar the son of Aaron the kohen, saying: Bamidbar 26:1

37 Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel from twenty years old and upwards, following their fathers' houses, all that are fit to go out to war in Israel. Bamidbar 26:2

29 Moses and Eleazar the kohen spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying: Bamidbar 26:3

19 The anger of the Lord flared on that day, and He swore, saying, Bamidbar 32:10

35 'None of the men from the age of twenty years and over who came out of Egypt will see the land that I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, for they did not follow Me wholeheartedly, Bamidbar 32:11

37 Except for Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizite and Joshua the son of Nun, for they followed the Lord wholeheartedly.' Bamidbar 32:12

30 The anger of the Lord flared against Israel, and He made them wander in the desert for forty years until the entire generation who had done evil in the eyes of the Lord had died out. Bamidbar 32:13

24 And behold, you have now risen in place of your fathers as a society of sinful people, to add to the wrathful anger of the Lord against Israel. Bamidbar 32:14

27 If you turn away from following Him, He will leave you in the desert again, and you will destroy this entire people." Bamidbar 32:15

25 They approached him and said, "We will build sheepfolds for our livestock here and cities for our children. Bamidbar 32:16

34 We will then arm ourselves quickly and go before the children of Israel until we have brought them to their place. Our children will reside in the fortified cities on account of the inhabitants of the land. Bamidbar 32:17

25 We shall not return to our homes until each of the children of Israel has taken possession of his inheritance. Bamidbar 32:18

23 For we will not inherit with them on the other side of the Jordan and beyond, because our inheritance has come to us on the east bank of the Jordan." Bamidbar 32:19

25 Moses said to them, "If you do this thing, if you arm yourselves for battle before the Lord, Bamidbar 32:20

20 And your armed force crosses the Jordan before the Lord until He has driven out His enemies before Him, Bamidbar 32:21

25 And the Land will be conquered before the Lord, afterwards you may return, and you shall be freed [of your obligation] from the Lord and from Israel, and this land will become your heritage before the Lord. Bamidbar 32:22

27 But, if you do not do so, behold, you will have sinned against the Lord, and be aware of your sin which will find you. Bamidbar 32:23

28 So build yourselves cities for your children and enclosures for your sheep, and what has proceeded from your mouth you shall do." Bamidbar 32:24

27 The descendants of Gad and the descendants of Reuben spoke to Moses, saying, "Your servants will do as my master commands. Bamidbar 32:25

23 Our children and our wives, our livestock and our cattle will remain there, in the cities of Gilead. Bamidbar 32:26

22 But your servants will cross over all who are armed for combat before the Lord, for the battle, as my master has spoken." Bamidbar 32:27

26 Moses commanded Eleazar the kohen and Joshua the son of Nun and all the paternal heads of the tribes of the children of Israel concerning them. Bamidbar 32:28

19 But if they do not cross over with you armed for battle, they shall receive a possession among you in the land of Canaan." Bamidbar 32:30

27 The descendants of Gad and the descendants of Reuben answered, saying, "We shall do as the Lord has spoken to your servants. Bamidbar 32:31
